Kagurama's Pov.
The academy flew by with few problems. I quit pranking Iruka Sensei, which he seemed grateful for. I still didn't have anyone I could call a close friend though. There were times where Choji and Shikamaru would speak with me, or even sit next to me. Naruto was more into pranking people than me, and suggested we work together. You could call him an acquaintance seeing how he didn't sought me out for any other reason.
"As you all know, we will be graduating in a month..." Iruka-Sensei trailed off. I internally groaned, already disliking what he was about to tell us. A little something I've been doing, in earlier years I would beg Iruka-Sensei to let me take the graduation test, but ended up failing every time. I barely passed the written test, and did pretty well on the Taijutsu and Genjutsu test. It was the Ninjutsu I did horribly on every single time. No matter how hard I tried, I couldn't make a perfect clone.
I crossed my arms and leaned back in my seat. The only way I'd be able to pass is if we do another jutsu for Ninjutsu.
"Well start off by partnering up, and sparing with each other." Iruka-Sensei declared. Huh?
"What was he talking about again?" I whispered towards the lazy Nara sitting beside me.
"And this is why you're dead last. Explaining would be such a drag." Shikamaru insulted. I however payed no mind to it, already used to his blunt persona.
"I honestly would pay more attention in this class if we actually learned something useful. Like, how to properly dissect a Shinobi to steal their Kinjutsu." I carelessly said while nodding.
"You're sick in the head." Shikamaru muttered looking disturbed.
"It's called a joke Shikamaru. Ever heard of it?" I said while giving him an annoyed expression. He only muttered "troublesome" to himself, choosing to ignore me. Whatever Shikamaru. It's not like I had requested for you to seat yourself next to me. I shrugged to my self, deciding to ask Iruka-Sensei later.
"Naruto! You're up against Sasuke!" Iruka called the first match. He continued the list, each match had me anticipating my own. When it finally came to mine, disappointment was an understatement. "Kagurama and Sakura, you guys will be the fourth match."
The fan girl only glared at me, before looking at Uchiha brat with a blush. 'Ugh, she probably is thinking something along the lines, "I'm going to beat her so Sasuke will love me!" How disgusting.' I shook my head, trying to ease the oncoming headache I was feeling. Hopefully I'll be able to graduate and get away from the people here.
"Aw man, what a drag. I have to fight Choji?" Shikamaru complained.
"I don't see why your are surprised. Iruka-Sensei has always had you and Choji fighting in order to make you realize that even friends can become enemies." Jinsoku reminded.
"How troublesome. It'd be easier if I could fight you. I wouldn't have to use much effort." Shikamaru complained once more. I frowned at him, feeling slightly insulted.
