3rd Pov
Mission after mission passed by, and soon days turned into weeks.
Naruto Namikaze had just about enough of this endless, boring cycle.
"Why can't we do a real mission?! I didn't become a Shinobi to clean some old persons bathroom, believe it!" Said Namikaze stomped his feet in front of his dad. Both Sasuke and Kagurama side glanced each other, feeling second hand embarrassment, and looked up at their Jōnin Sensei who looked just as embarrassed.
"Listen Naruto, the reason why you're doing these tasks..." the 4th Hokage began lecturing his son for the 7th time this week. Instead of listening, that same son chose to ignore him, and turned to face his team.
"So last night, my mom and me went to Ichiraku Ramen, and I had the Tonkatsu ramen, even though I really wanted the spicy beef ramen. But now all I can think of is the Tonkatsu ramen, and I feel like getting it again today, but I also think I'm going to regret not getting the spicy beef ramen. What do you think I should do?" Naruto asked the three.
Even though Kagurama had her arms crossed, and was facing the window, her, Sasuke and Kakashi all seemed to be intently listening to him.
"Thats a ridiculous question." Kagurama replied to him.
"Huh?! What do you mean by-!"
"How dare you ignore Yondaime-sama?! Do you understand how disrespectful you're being?!" A voice shouted, grabbing all their attention. Simultaneously, the 3 Genin of Squad 7 took a glance at the Jōnin Shinobi who stood by the Hokage at all times. They gave him an unimpressed look, not at all caring about their supposed disrespect towards the 4th Hokage.
"S-sorry about that..." Kakashi apologized on behalf of his squad.
"Yeah yeah, whatever! I'm not the only one who thinks we need to be going on real missions! Right?!" Naruto turned to his two teammates but Sasuke was the only one who hesitantly nodded. "Kagurama?" He questioned the silent girl.
"These are real missions so I do not quite understand what you want me to say." She was quick with her response, making the blonde scream in frustration.
"There's no way you actually enjoy doing this?! Come on dad, give us a real mission!!" Naruto directed his attention to the Hokage, even dropping formality when addressing him.
Minato stared at his son, sighing in exhaustion. Naruto spent many nights begging for real missions, and now he brought this same headache to the office.
"If it's a 'real' mission you want, then I'll give you a C-ranked mission." Immediate cheers from the younger blonde were heard. "You will be escorting a bridge builder named Tazuna to the land of waves, and guard him while he builds a bridge." With a wave of his hand, in walked an older male, broadcasting bottle of Sake in his hands.
He took a swig of the alcoholic beverage, burping the second he pulled it away from his mouth.
