Chapter 08

Padabog akong umalis sa hotel, mukha naman s'yang walang pakialam ng isinara ko ng malakas ang pinto nung umalis ako.

"Damn it! Damn that man!" Inis kong sigaw habang naglalakad sa hallway at pumasok sa elevator.

Nakita kong may top floor button kaya yun na lang ang pinindot ko, besides I like going on rooftops at gusto ko ring mapag-isa at magpahangin.

Ng bumukas ang elevator door ay nakita ko kung ano kaganda ang rooftop ng hotel na ito, it seems like a garden because mayroong fountain din sa gitna at maraming bulaklak sa paligid at benches. Umupo ako sa mga isa do'n an ramdam na ramdam mo talaga ang malamig na ihip ng hangin, I was sitting silently and enjoying the view when I heard a man's voice from behind.

"Enjoying, miss?"

"Yes", I simply replied and faced him.

I was shocked when I saw how handsome he is, a guy with brown hazelnut eyes, pointed nose, and also a perfect jawline. His eyebrows and eyelashes match perfectly the shape of his foxy eyes, but those eyes screams authority and perfection.

"Are you staying in this hotel?" He asked again.

I raised one of my eyebrows and looked away, "Hindi ba obvious?"

"Relax, I'm just asking." He chuckled.

Lumapit sya sa'kin at pumunta sa harapang bench, do'n sya umupo and he's sitting while crossing his legs.

'He's handsome but, Mark's beauty is on another level. I can't compare him to this guy.'

Hindi naman s'ya nag salita kaya tanging katahimikan lang ang namumuo sa'ming dalawa ngayon. The view is beautiful and the silence is giving, perfect para magpahinga ako at makapag-isip.

The man's phone suddenly rang, I wasn't supposed to listen but I couldn't help it.

"Yeah, yeah I'm here. Where? On the rooftop."

"Kasama mo s'ya?"  I heard another man's voice on the other side of the line, tumingin sya sa'kin that's why I also averted my gaze immediately.

"Yeah, I'm with her."

Napataas ang isa kong kilay, 'Ako ba 'yung pinag-uusapan nila?'

"You coming?" Dagdag pa n'ya, "I told you here on the rooftop, bhudd. I'm also looking for X, hindi ko kasi s'ya mahanap biglang nawala. Oh, you're here?"

Tumingin s'ya sa elevator kaya tumingin din ako, ng bumukas iyon ay nagulat ako ng lumabas si Mark.

"Thank you for taking care of her." Mark said while smiling, "Nandito ka lang pala, kanina pa kita hinahanap."

Napairap ako sa kawalan, "At kailan kapa natutong maghanap sa'kin?"

"Alastor, I saw X on the hotel hall. Mukhang hinahanap ka din." Sabi n'ya ng hindi man lang ako tiningnan.

"Yeah, by the way," the man said as he face me, "I'm Alastor Grimalkin, nice to meet you Miss Khem Villanueva."

"How'd you know me?" Masungit kong tanong sa kanya.

"Oh, my friend here, Mark always talks about you when he's in California."

I raised my eyebrows in confusion but I just brushed it away, "Nice to meet you too Mr. Grimalkin. I did not know Mr. Enriquez here could have a friend from a well-known powerful family."

I heard both of them chuckled, "I supposed thou did not tell her yet? Well, it's your problem anyway kaya wala na akong pakialam dun. Now, if you two lovebirds excuse me, I'll also fix my problem downstairs."
