Ryoma let out a slight sigh, feeling completely dominated and at a loss.
"Damn it! Charmeleon, don't give up! Use Flamethrower again!"
Yuto, refusing to be discouraged, commanded Charmeleon to launch another attack, which, as expected, was easily dodged by Metang.
On the other side, after undergoing its second round of enhancements, Shelgon's power had further increased. After taking two hits from Rollout, it delivered another Headbutt, sending Sandshrew flying!
"This isn't working. That Metang has Psychic type, and its reactions are just too fast; Charmeleon's Flamethrower simply can't hit!"
After several attempts, Yuto wore a helpless expression.

Taka smirked at the look of defeat on their faces.

In the air, Metang moved in sync with its trainer's taunts, darting around and making provocative gestures, which only made Charmeleon roar in frustration, nearly boiling over with anger!

Yuto chose not to respond to the taunts from the other side. Given how this battle was going, there really wasn't much to argue about.

Just as Ryoma was about to give up, a powerful surge of energy erupted in the arena, and a brilliant flash of white light instantly illuminated the entire space!
Surprised, Ryoma quickly looked over and saw Charmeleon's figure constantly shifting within the flash of white light. Its body was growing taller, its neck elongating, and a pair of wings sprouted from its back, the orange figure flickering in and out of view!

In the next moment, a dragon's roar suddenly erupted in the arena. Then, an orange figure surged into the sky and, while Metang was momentarily stunned, it clawed at it with Scratch!
Metang was startled as it was scratched, but before it could begin to struggle, it felt a wave of scorching flames hit its body, searing every inch of its skin!
"This is... Charizard!"
"That Charmeleon actually evolved into a Charizard!"
At that moment, the entire arena erupted in cheers, with everyone staring in astonishment at the figure soaring in the sky!
"Damn it, it chose to evolve at this moment!"
"Metang, break free from the flames and use Psychic!"
Thinking victory was assured, Taka's expression turned grim, and he quickly shouted commands.

Metang also sensed the life-threatening danger, gritting its teeth against the intense pain, and its eyes began to glow, attempting to blast away the suddenly appeared figure!
But before the Psychic could fully materialize, Charizard released one of its claws that had been scratching at Metang, then raised it high. A powerful green energy gathered in its claw, which transformed into a formidable Dragon Claw that slashed down at Metang!

The Dragon Claw struck, and Metang was immediately sent crashing down from the sky, like a meteor, directly impacting the ground and creating a large crater in the solid terrain!

Before anyone could react, a thick jet of flame shot straight down from the sky, crashing heavily into the crater in the ground!
The flames illuminated the arena, reflecting in the wide-eyed expressions of the spectators!

Seeing this situation, Taka could no longer remain calm, his face filled with anxiety!
"Damn it, what does that Charizard want to do?"
"Shelgon, use Dragon Breath!"
At that moment, Haruki suddenly shouted beside Taka. Taka shifted his gaze to see that Charizard had somehow already landed, gathering Dragon Claw in its hand, seemingly preparing to attack Metang again!

Fortunately, Shelgon's Dragon Breath arrived just in time, hitting Charizard before it could launch Dragon Claw!

After being struck by Dragon Breath, Charizard let out a thunderous roar. Then, Charizard's gathered Dragon Claw slashed down, directly shattering the Dragon Breath move and sending a powerful wave of energy scattering, turning into a thick mist!

Before the mist had even cleared, a sound like something slicing through the air rang out, and then Charizard's figure burst forth from the haze, charging at Shelgon, delivering a devastating blow with Dragon Claw that sent Shelgon flying into the wall!
After executing this attack, Charizard lunged forward again, once more condensing Dragon Claw!
"Rhydon, block it!"
At that moment, a red-and-white Poké Ball suddenly opened in front of Charizard, and then a Rhydon emerged from the ball!

In the next instant, Rhydon reached out its arms, firmly grabbing Charizard's claws that were trying to continue the attack.
Roar!
Confronted with the sudden appearance of this enemy, Charizard's eyes turned crimson as it roared, starting to conjure flames in its mouth.

But before Charizard could unleash the flames, Rhydon delivered a straightforward punch that knocked Charizard out cold, causing it to collapse to the ground!

At that moment, the masters of the three Pokémon reacted first, ignoring the competition and rushing onto the field to anxiously check on their Pokémon.
After a quick examination, the three of them quickly pulled out healing potions for their Pokémon to drink and then hurriedly recalled their Pokémon into their Poké Balls, rushing towards the infirmary outside the gym.
