Aloha City Pokémon Center.
After leaving the Pokémon Club, Ryoma headed straight here.
Although Sandshrew had already taken the healing potion given by Kenji, he still felt a bit uneasy and planned to give Sandshrew a full-body treatment.
"Ryoma, I'm sorry. If it weren't for me, Sandshrew wouldn't have been hurt so badly," Stone said from the side, his face showing regret.
"Don't say that. As a trainer, getting injured is a very normal occurrence."
"It's just like ranking up; wins and losses are part of the game," Ryoma replied with a slight smile, patting Stone's shoulder for comfort. "I was hoping to use the prize money to help you reach that 500,000 but now it seems a bit difficult."
"However, I've thought of another way to definitely gather the 500,000 yen."
Stone opened his mouth and then nodded thoughtfully; the two exchanged a knowing smile, understanding each other without words.
"Hey, is that Yuto?"
After comforting Stone for a bit, Ryoma took out his phone and dialed a number.
"Ah, Boss! I was just about to call you! Didn't expect you to call first!" Upon receiving Ryoma's call, Yuto sounded very happy. "Boss, I just got back to Aloha City today. Where are you? Should I come find you?"
"Ah, you coming back is just in time. I happen to have something to ask you."
"Sure, no problem! Just send me the address, and I'll come right over!"
About half an hour later, Yuto hurriedly burst into the Pokémon Center, looking genuinely excited.
"Boss, it's good to see you again." Upon seeing Ryoma, Yuto immediately gave him a big hug.
"Hmm? You look so excited; did that thing work out?" Ryoma's eyes lit up slightly.
"Ha ha ha, of course! With such a good topic from Boss and my excellent writing skills, winning a big prize is easy!" Yuto patted his chest proudly.
Hearing Yuto's words, Ryoma clicked his tongue. Before the competitions, Yuto had cried and begged to be his boss, persistently trying to learn about Defense Curl and Rollout.
Ryoma had no choice but to share his understanding of Defense Curl and Rollout, as well as the in-game descriptions of both moves, roughly explaining the principles behind their changes.
He hadn't thought much of it at the time, but it turned out this guy was surprisingly capable, truly working out a thesis for him!
It seemed those old scholars were quite easy to deceive; maybe I should try to concoct something myself?
"Sha sha Sha!"
At that moment, Sandshrew's treatment wrapped up, and upon seeing Yuto, its little eyes lit up. Excitedly, it ran up to Yuto, rubbing its hands together, and a mischievous grin appeared on its face.
Seeing Sandshrew's signature gesture, Yuto's expression darkened as he recalled the painful memories of being thoroughly dominated by this little guy.
"Here, this is the prize money from the tournament, a total of 100,000 yen. I didn't skimp on a single penny!"
Yuto quickly pulled out a bank card and, with a flattering smile, handed it to Sandshrew, who nodded in satisfaction.
"And this is for you, Boss."
After dealing with Sandshrew, Yuto took out another bank card and handed it to Ryoma.
"Hmm? Isn't the prize supposed to be 100,000 yen?" Ryoma looked at the bank card in Yuto's hand, puzzled.
"Heh heh, that 100,000 yen is the prize money, but this card contains 400,000 yen given to me by my dad, which brings me to a total of 500,000 yen."
"400,000 yen!"
Ryoma was taken aback by Yuto's extravagant display.
"Heh heh, Boss, don't underestimate this Pokémon Literary Newcomer Competition. The place I achieved is enough to give me some recognition in the academic world, and the value of that cannot just be measured by a mere 500,000 yen."
"Moreover, I am now a member of the Pokémon Scholars Guild, which means I have officially become a Pokémon scholar!"
"Considering that, I have gained a lot. If I had more money on hand, I would gladly give you 1,000,000 yen!"
This time, Yuto spoke earnestly, his eyes showing deep gratitude, clearly indicating that this award had a significant impact on his life!
Ryoma opened his mouth, then finally broke into a smile. "Then I will accept this 500,000 yen; I really need this money right now. It's like receiving a pillow when you're about to doze off!"
"Boss, are you in trouble? Do you need my help?"
Seeing Ryoma was in trouble, Yuto immediately became tense.
"Don't worry, I'm fine. It's just that my brother has had some issues at home, but with this 500,000 yen, everything will be resolved." Ryoma smiled faintly, feeling that the gloom from his previous match had vanished completely.
"Is it this brother? Since he is Boss's brother, he will also be my brother Yuto from now on!" Yuto quickly patted his chest and promised.
"Ah, thank you, thank you."
Stone was so excited he could barely speak. With this 500,000 yen, his parents would finally be able to come out of prison, bringing him to tears of joy.
"Let's not talk about anything else; let's go celebrate with a nice meal!"
......
"By the way, Yuto, the reason I called you here is that I've recently developed a training method for Sandstorm moves and wanted to see if you could help me create a moves guide to sell."
After a hearty meal, Ryoma finally explained the purpose of inviting Yuto.
Clang!
As soon as Ryoma finished speaking, a sudden noise of dropped chopsticks rang out. Looking over, he saw Yuto staring at him blankly, seemingly oblivious to the chopsticks that had fallen to the ground, as if he were frozen in place!
"Um... is there a problem?"
"Is it not possible? If it's not, then forget it."
Seeing Yuto's reaction, Ryoma sighed, feeling like he might have been thinking too much.
"There is a problem. No, actually, there's a big problem! Boss, say that again. What moves are you talking about?!"
Yuto suddenly stood up, stumbling over his words.
"Are you talking about Sandstorm moves?"
"Sandstorm? You mean the weather move Sandstorm?"
Upon hearing Ryoma's affirmative response, Yuto's eyes widened again, sitting rigidly in his chair, his expression utterly exaggerated!
"I'm blown away! I really am! Boss is just the best."
"A weather move? This is a weather move! Boss, you're incredible!"
Yuto burst into exaggerated laughter, attracting surprised looks from passersby, as they clearly thought he was acting like a drunken fool!
"So, that means it's possible?"
Ryoma was already accustomed to Yuto's over-the-top expressions, and he smiled slightly.
"Let's go, let's go! Now we're going to the Pokémon Scholars Guild to find my teacher! Hahaha, learning methods for weather moves will definitely shock the entire academic world!"
Without hesitation, Yuto grabbed Ryoma and hurriedly headed toward the Pokémon Scholars Guild, leaving Ryoma feeling both amused and exasperated.
However, after confirming the value of the Sandstorm moves, he felt a bit more at ease. This was the only money-making method he could currently think of.
As long as he could make some money, he could purchase some Pokémon training resources, which would undoubtedly enhance Sandshrew's strength!
