The days after the wedding felt like a dream for both Riley and Jax. They returned from their romantic honeymoon in Paris, where they had spent countless hours exploring the city, indulging in fine dining, and cherishing their time together. Now, as they settled back into their lives, the reality of their union began to set in.

Adjusting to Married Life

Riley had always been fiercely independent, used to calling the shots and living life on her terms. But with Jax by her side, she found herself learning to share not just her space but her dreams and plans.

"You can't just decide to cancel a meeting because you don't feel like it," Jax said one morning, standing in the kitchen with a raised eyebrow as Riley sipped her coffee.

"Why not? I'm the boss," Riley replied with a smirk.

Jax shook his head, amused. "Yeah, well, your employees might appreciate some structure. Besides, you promised me you'd try to delegate more."

Riley sighed dramatically but smiled. "Fine, Mr. Everett, I'll behave. For now."

Jax laughed, leaning over to kiss her cheek. "That's all I ask."

Jax's Ambitions

Jax's career as a designer was also taking off. Inspired by their wedding, he launched a new line called Eternal, focusing on modern yet timeless designs that celebrated love and individuality. Riley was his biggest cheerleader, attending every showcase and proudly introducing him to potential investors.

"You're incredible," she told him after one particularly successful event.

Jax blushed, still unused to the spotlight. "It's because I have you in my corner."

"Always," Riley promised.

Challenges at Work

Not everything was smooth sailing. Riley's father continued to stir trouble, using his influence to undermine her business dealings.

"Your father's latest stunt cost us a major investor," Ethan informed Riley during a tense meeting.

Riley clenched her fists. "He doesn't scare me. We'll find another investor, one who believes in what we're doing."

Jax, who had been listening quietly, finally spoke up. "We'll get through this together. You don't have to face him alone, Riley."

Her heart swelled at his words. For the first time, she felt like she truly had a partner who would stand by her side no matter what.

A Surprise Announcement

One evening, as they sat together on the couch, Jax turned to Riley with a nervous expression.

"I've been thinking..." he began, hesitating.

Riley set down her glass of wine, instantly alert. "What's on your mind?"

"I want to start a family," he said softly.

Riley blinked, taken aback. "A family?"

Jax nodded, his eyes earnest. "Not right away, but... someday. I want to build something with you, Riley. Something that's ours."

Her heart raced as she processed his words. The idea of children had always seemed far off, something for a future version of herself. But now, sitting next to the man she loved, it didn't feel so impossible.

"I'd like that," she said finally, her voice filled with emotion. "Maybe sooner than you think."

Jax's face lit up, and he pulled her into a tight embrace. "I love you, Riley."

"I love you too," she whispered.

A Future Full of Promise

As they sat together, dreaming of the life they would build, Riley realized that Jax had done more than just love her—he had transformed her. He had shown her that vulnerability wasn't a weakness, that leaning on someone else didn't make her any less strong.

And for Jax, Riley had given him the confidence to chase his dreams, to believe in himself as much as she believed in him.

Their journey was far from over, but one thing was certain: whatever challenges came their way, they would face them together, as equals, as partners, and as soulmates.
