When I wake up, the hospital room is bathed in soft, muted light. The beeping of the heart monitor is a steady reminder of my surroundings, but Han is nowhere to be seen. My gaze drifts to the small table beside my bed, where I find a note lying on top. I reach for it, my movements slow and careful.

The note is handwritten in Han's neat, familiar script:

Hey, I had to step out for a bit, but I'll be back soon. Please don't try to get up or strain yourself without help. Just rest and take it easy. I'll be right here when you wake up.

My heart warms at his words, a small smile tugging at my lips. It's comforting to know he'll be back, and his instructions are a reminder to listen to my body and not rush things.

As I set the note aside, the door opens softly, and Han steps in, carrying a large bag. His eyes light up when he sees me awake, and he quickly makes his way over to the bedside.

"Hey there," he says, his voice gentle. "How are you feeling?"

"I'm okay," I reply, my voice still a bit weak. "What's all this?"

Han sets the bag down on a nearby chair and begins to unpack it with a smile. "I brought you some things. Thought you might appreciate a bit of home while you recover."

He pulls out containers of food, and I recognize Minho's signature dishes. There are also a few boxes of brownies, each one labeled with Felix's name. Along with the food, there's another note, this one from the group:

Hey, Y/N! We're all thinking about you and hoping for a speedy recovery. Take your time and come back to us when you're feeling better. We miss you!

My eyes well up slightly at the thoughtfulness of the group. It's incredibly touching to know they're all rallying behind me.

Han then moves the couch closer to the bed and adjusts the pillows to make it more comfortable. "I figured I'd stay here with you," he says, settling onto the couch. "I brought my laptop too. We can watch some anime together if you're up for it."

He opens his laptop and begins setting up, his movements easy and familiar. The presence of the couch, now so close to my bed, makes me feel a bit more at ease, knowing he'll be nearby.

"Thank you, Han," I say softly, my voice carrying a genuine gratitude. "This means a lot to me."

He looks at me with a warm, reassuring smile. "I'm glad I could do something to make this easier for you. Just focus on getting better, okay?"

I nod, feeling a mix of relief and contentment. As Han starts up the first episode of an anime we both enjoy, I settle back into the pillows, the comforting smell of home cooked food and the warmth of Han's presence creating a soothing atmosphere.

The screen flickers to life, and for a while, the room fills with the gentle hum of the anime soundtrack. Han's presence is a balm to my spirit, and as we watch together, I feel a sense of peace, knowing that I'm not alone in this recovery.

For the next two weeks, my days in the hospital are filled with the steady stream of visitors and the slow rhythm of recovery. Han is a constant presence, staying by my side as much as possible. His dedication is unwavering, and I find comfort in his company. When he has to step out for work or other commitments, my manager, Hana, and even a few of the Stray Kids members stop by to check on me. Each visit brings a new wave of warmth and support, ensuring that I'm never alone for more than a few hours.

My manager and some of my fellow backup dancers arrive with familiar faces and comforting words. They bring me small gifts, like my favorite books and snacks, and spend time talking about everything and nothing to keep my spirits up. The members also make regular visits. Chan and Lee Know bring homemade food, while Jisung, Felix, and the others stop by with small tokens of encouragement and laughter. Their visits brighten my days and remind me of the strong support network I have gained these past few months.

As the days pass, the doctors and physical therapists begin to work with me, setting the stage for my physical therapy journey. They emphasize the importance of rehabilitation and patience, explaining that recovery will be gradual but rewarding.

Months have passed since my hospital stay, and I'm now deep into my physical therapy regimen. The process is challenging, but it's a vital step in regaining my strength and mobility. I've made significant progress, but each session is a test of my endurance and determination.

Physical therapy is a blend of exercises designed to rebuild strength and improve flexibility. It often starts with basic movements and gradually increases in intensity. The therapists push me to my limits, but their encouragement helps me persevere.

Han continues to be a major source of support throughout this process. He attends many of my therapy sessions, providing both physical and emotional encouragement. His presence is a constant reminder of the strength and resilience I need to keep moving forward.

The police still have been unable to identify the person that hit me in the accident which is slightly frightening to know. Apparently for some reason, that was one of the few streets without a camera on the light at the intersection. It's strangely ironic but I'm sure it was just some random drunk driver.

As I work through the pain and fatigue, I begin to see the results of my hard work. Each small victory, whether it's taking a few steps without assistance or regaining strength in my legs, is a testament to my determination and the unwavering support of those around me.

The road to full recovery is still ahead, but with the strength of my support network and my own perseverance, I'm confident that I'll get there, one step at a time.
