The next morning, sunlight comes through your window, waking you from a surprisingly peaceful sleep.

After the chaos of the day before, you’d expect nightmares, but instead, you’d drifted off with a smile on your face, replaying the events of the daring rescue...

...Peter and Gwen's unexpected kisses, and the warmth you felt in their presence.

You stretch lazily, feeling the tension of yesterday slip away.

A soft knock on your door pulls you from your thoughts.

"Come in," you call, sitting up.

The door creaks open to reveal Gwen, holding a tray of breakfast. He's dressed casually today, his mask nowhere in sight, and his warm smile instantly brightens the room.

"Morning," he greets, setting the tray on your bedside table.

"Thought you could use some breakfast after...well, everything."

You blink in surprise.

"You didn't have to do that."

"I wanted to," he replies simply, taking a seat at the edge of your bed.

"How are you feeling?"

You smile softly.

"Better than I thought I would, thanks to you and Peter."

Gwen's grin widens, and he scratches the back of his neck, looking pleased.

Before he can respond, a familiar voice calls out from the hallway.

"Am I interrupting?" Peter steps into the room, carrying a small bouquet of flowers. He's also unmasked, his brown eyes twinkling with mischief.

"Wow, you two are really going all out," you tease, feeling your cheeks heat up again.

Peter shrugs, his expression playful.

"What can I say? Saving you made us realize we kind of love you."

Gwen smirks, crossing his arms.

"Kind of?"

"Okay, fine. A lot," Peter admits, holding out the flowers.

"These are for you."

You accept them with a laugh, shaking your head in disbelief.

"You two are very sweet but ridiculous."

"And yet, here you are, letting us spoil you," Gwen points out, his tone playful but his eyes held warmness.

You share breakfast together, laughing and talking about everything and nothing.

It seems like Gwen and Peter get along better now.

It's almost enough to make you forget the danger that still lingers.

Almost.

By the time afternoon rolls around, the three of you decide to go for a walk in the park, hoping to enjoy some normalcy.

Peter and Gwen stick close to you, their presence comforting and protective.

It's clear they're not taking any chances after what happened.

As you stroll through the park, Gwen suddenly stops, glancing at you with a curious expression.

"Hey," he says,

"if you're going to stick around with us which I really hope you will, maybe we should teach you a few moves, you know, in case you ever need to defend yourself."

Peter perks up at the suggestion.

"That's a great idea! We can show you some basic self-defense techniques."

You raise an eyebrow, half-amused and half-intrigued.

"What, like superhero training?"

"Exactly," Gwen says with a grin.

"Think of it as part of being in our little team."

You can't help but laugh, nodding in agreement.

"Alright, superhero training it is. But don't blame me if I'm a terrible student."

Peter and Gwen exchange a look, their smiles widening.

"Something tells me you're going to surprise us," Peter says, his tone full of affection.

You see an old woman smiling at the three of you.

"It's rare now days to see siblings hanging out together."

The lady says, making you chuckle and shake your head at her assumption that you three are siblings.

When you, Peter and Gwen look nothing alike.

"Actually, we are her boyfriends." Peter corrects her.

"Indeed we are." Gwen confirms.

The woman's kind expression turns into a disgusted one.

The old woman’s lips press into a thin line, and she clutches her purse tighter, stepping back slightly.

“Well, I don’t know what kind of nonsense young people are up to these days,” she mutters, shaking her head as she hurries away.

You let out a small laugh, turning to Peter and Gwen.

"Well, that went well."

Peter raises his eyebrows, clearly unfazed.

"What? I was just being honest."

Gwen smirks, shrugging.

"She asked, not our fault the truth isn’t what she expected."

You cross your arms, before asking calmly.

"And since when did we three start dating?"

Peter's mischievous grin grows wider as he leans closer to you.

"Since we decided it was a great idea about five seconds ago."

Gwen chuckles, nodding along.

"It felt right in the moment, besides," he adds, brushing a strand of hair from your face,

"You haven’t exactly protested."

You roll your eyes, trying to suppress a smile.

"Oh, so I just get told I’m in a relationship now? No consultation, no romantic gestures?"

Peter places a hand over his heart in a mock offense.

"Excuse me, weren’t the flowers romantic? And breakfast in bed?"

Gwen gestures toward the park around you.

"And this walk? Pretty sure that counts as quality boyfriend material."

"Nope, we are still not dating."

You declare before starting to walk away, feeling a bit uncomfortable.

In the end you will leave, so you don't want to lead yourself on to have 'attachments'

Peter and Gwen give eachother a dark look, their masks slipping away.

They tried to be nice with you about it, but it seems like you want the hard option.

The option where they have to use 'force'
