"Just jump, already!!!" Stergios yelled. "You'll probably only break a few bones."
Agapios was high up in a tree. "I can't!" He yelled back.
Stergios let out an annoyed groan. "How are you ever gonna fly if you're too afraid to try?!"
Agapios climbed down from the tree. "Maybe it would help if you'd stop telling me I'm gonna break all the bones in my body!!"
"Hey, I said a few, not all." Stergios argued back. "Plus, life-threatening situations are the best way to learn how to fly. Just ask dad."
"Grandpa Ares threw him off a cliff."
"And did he fly? Well, maybe not the first time, but he eventually did." Stergios said.
"I am NOT jumping off a cliff if that's what you're implying." Agapios said.
"What?! No. I'm saying that if you jump off the tree, maybe your instincts will take over, and you'll fly. You know, fight or flight. Or, in this case, fall or fly." Stergios said.
"That's a big maybe." Agapios said.
"Eh. It's a 50/50 chance." Stergios shrugged.
"I'm not getting back in or jumping off that tree." Agapios crossed his arms.
"Doesn't matter anymore. I'm bored. Let's do something else." Stergios said.
"Like what?" Agapios asked.
"Hmm. Maybe we could ask Apollo if he wants to play discus?" Stergios suggested.
"You want us? Two sons of Eros. To play discus? With Apollo?" Agapios said. "That's gonna end in tears for both us and Apollo. He'd sooner pluck us like turkeys than play discus."
"Yeah. Probably not the best idea." Stergios shuddered at the thought.
"So...what are we going to do?" Agapios asked.
"Hide and seek?" Stergios said.
"No, you always cheat and turn invisible." Agapios said.
"So what are we going to do then?! Because so far we've only named things we aren't going to do." Stergios complained.
"I don't know. Let's just go home. It's getting late anyway. Lady Artemis is going to drive by soon, and mom expects us back before then." Agapios sighed.
The twins grabbed their things and started heading back to their temple. They talked as they walked home.
"Have you ever wondered what the real world is like? You know, life outside of Olympus?" Agapios asked.
"Sometimes, I guess." Stergios said. "But you know we're not allowed to leave Olympus."
"Why not?! Dad and a bunch of others leave every day to go work." Agapios said. "How are we supposed to do our jobs properly if we aren't allowed to leave?"
He has a point. Stergios thought. Then, an idea hit him. "I mean, the elevator is just standing there. What's stopping us from leaving?"
"Mom, dad, and countless others." Agapios sighed.
"What countless others? It's not like anyone remembers us. I'd be surprised if someone even remembers our names." Stergios said. "Also, what mom and dad don't know can't hurt them."
Agapios stopped walking and looked at his twin. "Are you thinking what I think you're thinking?"
"Depends. What do you think I'm thinking?" Stergios smirked.
"I'm thinking, you're saying we sneak off Olympus and leave without anyone knowing." Agapios said.
"Then you would be thinking right." Stergios said.
"How would we even pull that off?" Agapios asked.
"We'll sneak off during the night. Everyone'll be asleep by then." Stergios replied.
"Ok, say we manage to pull this off. Where would we go?" Agapios said.
They both thought for a minute before turning to face each other.
"Camp Half-blood!" They said in unison.
"Olympus is currently over New York -"
"- And Camp is in Long Island."
"The demigods can't be any worse than anyone up here." Stergios said. "Well... the ones that aren't evil, I guess."
"They'd probably remember our names, too." Agapios muttered under his breath.
"I believe we have our plan." Stergios smiled.
The twins finally arrived home, where they gathered all they needed to set their plan in motion.
