Harry's POV

"Zayn, come on." I pleaded.

"No."

"You need to go outside." I tried again.

"No, I don't. I'm perfectly fine here." He snapped. I sighed.

It's been about three weeks since we got wind of Zayn's arranged death. I know he thinks that he's protecting us by staying in, but it's only hurting himself. His eyes are losing color, he's getting impossibly skinnier, his skin is getting pale versus his usually tan complexion; but the thing that scared me the most is that his will to try is going down the drain as well.

He's stopped caring about what's going to happen to him. He keeps mumbling things like 'here I am' or 'come get me' and it's seriously scaring the shit out of me. I try telling him that we'll get through it; but I can tell he's slowly dwindling, and it hurts.

I placed my hands under his armpits and lifted him off me, but it was much easier than it should've been, considering his weight. "Karen!" I called up the stairs.

I heard her scuttling footsteps on seconds later. "What?" She looked at us frantically, making sure we weren't harmed in any way.

"Will you go outside with us? Just out back for a while." I added, putting her tense position on ease a little.

"No, I don't want to-" I covered Zayn's mouth with my hand, my right arm supporting his weight.

"Yeah, I'll be right back." She smiled slightly, disappearing up the stairs.

I dragged him over to the sliding glass door. I opened it and I could feel him tense at the heat. "It's okay, it'll be good for you." I said to him.

"Harry, I don't want to be out here. They'll see you with me and they'll kill you. These people have no mercy, my parents made sure of the people they hired." He sounded scared. Absolutely terrified.

"Zayn, Karen will be with us. You saw how easy it was for her to say yes. You're scaring me, quite honestly." I said the last bit as sort of a guilt trip, but knowing him he still wouldn't do it. He's so stubborn sometimes.

His eyes suddenly got darker and his right hand came up to cup my cheek. "Then maybe I can scare you somewhere else." His seductive voice caused a tingly sensation to erupt in the bottom of my stomach but I ignored it, for his sake.

"No, Zayn. You need to! You're dying. Literally. I can see it in your face and in your body; I can see more bone on you than a skeleton! YOU NEED TO GO OUTSIDE." I practically yelled. His eyes widened as he took in my outbreak; I'd ne'er fully yelled at him, but I think he needed someone to snap some sense into his brain.

I took the opportunity of silence to drag him out the back door. He fought against me weakly, and I set him down on one of long lawn chairs. His eyes were closed to protect them from the harsh sun he hadn't been exposed to in weeks. I pulled another one close and layed down on it, basking in the sun myself. There weren't too many days of the year where there weren't clouds in the sky like today, so I didn't want to waste an opportunity I wouldn't get very much.

After about 10 minutes of us just laying here and Karen reading a magazine at the edge of the pool, a small pair of legs straddled my wait and warm hands were placed on my chest. I knew it was him, so I just put my hands on top of his and laced our fingers together.

"Harry." He mumbled. I peaked an eye open to see his bottom lip tugged between his teeth, and the urge to just kiss him washed over me. I resisted however, and answered him.

"Yeah babe."

"I love you." He kissed my chest, right between the pecks. He peppered little ones all on my collar bones and shoulders. I had to resist the urge to moan, knowing Karen was only ten yards away from us. Zayn's face hovered over mine for a few seconds before I spoke to him.
