"Zayn! Hey man, how are you?" Jake greeted me the next day at work. I had just gotten out of the car and Harry was already at my side, grabbing my hand.

"Hi." I greeted him.

I turned to Harry and wrapped my arms around his muscular torso. He nuzzled his head into my neck, and I could feel his heavy breathing. "Only you." I whispered in his ear. I felt him relax as he pulled away and kissed me. It lasted a little longer than I thought it would, but I didn't complain, it'd have to last me my six hour shift. But I don’t think his intentions were to tide me off with Jake conveniently standing right there.

"Bye." I said, grinning at him.

"See you later, baby." He kissed my forehead and went over to get in the driver side and drove off.

"Someone had fun last night." Jake said, his tone teasing.

"What?" I asked, completely confused. His eyes flickered to my neck and I immediately blushed. I put both my hands on either side of my neck and muttered a 'shut up' before pushing past him into the shop.

It was just going on 1 when I heard the bell ding, announcing another customer's arrival. I didn't bother looking up though, because many had come through and I figured it'd just be another dog food purchase.

"Hello Zayn." A familiar voice said, and my instinct told me to be afraid, but I was too comfortable reading my magazine to be bothered. However when my eyes met her cold blue ones, I immediately tensed.

"I'm afraid I have some bad news." Ms. Sheffield said. I didn't answer her, I just stared at her with wide eyes. "Can we speak somewhere more private?"

Gathering my bearings, I stood up and motioned for her to go out the back door. “Jake, I'll be out back for a bit." I called to him, but I didn't wait for an answer. I just walked out the back door and leaned against the wall.

She could tell I didn't want her to be blunt, so she got right to the point. "Do you remember when you discussed some things with Dr. Cooper? It was a couple day after you got in the hospital." She added.

I thought back to when I was sitting in my hospital bed, completely aggravated over the fact that my plan to end everything didn’t work. I remember when he stared me down when I refused to talk. I’m highly grateful, however, that he told me those things. If he didn’t I probably would’ve tried again, and been more successful, and I never would’ve met Harry. "Yeah, what about it?"

"He told you that your parents had friends that would carry out their wishes, am I correct?" She asked with an eyebrow raised.

I was beginning to get nervous. "Yeah?"

"Well, the one thing he didn't tell you was that your parents left you a small fortune when they died. It's all tucked away in a bank account out of reach to anyone except you and Karen Payne."

"And?" I was beginning to get irritated.

"Don't become impatient, this is important Zayn." She warned. "Well, these friends of your parents are angry. They're upset by the fact that you got the money instead of them. They figured you were useless and wouldn't spend the money, and Karen has quite the chunk of money herself that she’d easily let you borrow some if I'm not mistaken." She said.

My parents left me money? "Why wasn't I aware of this before?" I asked, trying to keep my temper under control.

"It's in good hands, you don't need to worry about it. But some of the agents placed around the friends have overheard them talking about arrangements to steal it." She said, her voice totally calm.
