Beneath the velvet skies,
The rain begins to fall,
A whispered song of night,
That softly covers all.
The stars, like shattered glass,
Glow faint through clouds that roam,
A fleeting light to guide
The weary wanderer home.
Each drop a fleeting touch,
A kiss upon my skin,
As if the heavens mourn
For all that might have been.
The world is bathed in gray,
Yet in the dark, I see,
A quiet, endless dance
Of rain and stars set free.
So let the night embrace,
Its secrets deep and true,
For in the rain and stars,
I find a path anew.
The wind begins to sigh,
A melody so low,
It weaves between the drops,
A dance of ebb and flow.
