Chapter 274 – Gustavo on Ellen's Talk Show

The setting is Ellen DeGeneres' famous talk show, with the studio packed and the fans cheering. Gustavo, now widely recognized for his bravery and military experience, enters the stage to deafening applause. Dressed casually, he waves to the audience, who welcome him with a standing ovation. Ellen, known for her relaxed and humorous interviews, hugs him and makes a brief introduction.

Ellen (smiling):

"Welcome, Gustavo! We are very happy to have you here today. I think everyone is curious to hear your version of what happened on that intense day!"

Gustavo (smiling, but a little serious):

"Thank you, Ellen. It's a pleasure to be here. And yes, that day was... something I never expected to experience, at least off-screen."

Sitting on the show's traditional couch, Ellen begins the interview calmly but directly.

Ellen:

"So, Gustavo, we all saw that amazing security camera video from your mother-in-law Kris Jenner's house. The whole world saw you storm the house with all that tactical gear, take out the kidnappers, and save your wife and her entire family. Can you tell us what was going through your mind at that moment?"

Gustavo (thoughtfully):

"I think my protective instincts kicked in at the time. When I got the call from Kendall and heard those voices threatening them, I knew immediately that I had to act fast. This wasn't just a dangerous situation, this was my family. In that moment, all my training, everything I'd learned... came to the fore."

Ellen:

"You cut the power to the house, donned night vision goggles, and entered in an extremely strategic manner. It was like something straight out of a movie. How did you make those decisions?"

Gustavo (calm):

"It was pure military instinct. I knew that if I cut the power, I would have an advantage in the dark. When you work in special operations, especially in confined environments, every second counts. CQB (Close Quarters Combat) is about fast movement and precision. So I knew I had to be silent and decisive to make sure no one got hurt."

Ellen continues to press, trying to understand what was going through Gustavo's mind during the most critical seconds of the invasion.

Ellen:

"So, you entered the room where they were. When you saw the kidnappers there with your family, what went through your mind?"

Gustavo (taking a deep breath):

"Honestly, all I could think about was neutralizing the threat. I knew I couldn't give them time to react or hurt anyone. I knew exactly where they were thanks to the cameras, and that allowed me to act quickly. My priority was to make sure everyone got out alive."

Ellen:

"You didn't hesitate to use lethal force. How did you make that decision?"

Gustavo (firmly):

"When someone is threatening your family's life, you do what is necessary. Those men were armed and ready to hurt. I didn't have the luxury of hesitation. Any hesitation could have cost them their lives. My job there was to protect them, and that's what I did."
