Hello again, friends! I'm back with another chapter of my amazing story! I hope you enjoy it. I'm going to be picking up the pace. I want to try to finish this before June. Merry Christmas, motherfuckers.
Here, an OC of mine will come into play: Vex King, son of, well, you'll see :). Have fun! Or else...

/(*Draco*)\
Draco couldn't believe it. He was set against the Boy Who Lived by his supposed "father", and yet here he was, back at Hogwarts, willingly surrounded by Harry Potter and his friends. And not only that, if Granger's spell had worked–which they always do–he didn't even have to worry about Crabbe and Goyle anymore. It was like a dream, and not one of those strange demigod nightmares. It felt like a good dream. But he knew it wasn't since demigods never have those. This was real.
Then Draco realised something important; Granger had used magic outside school. The punishment for the first time it happens was a warning, but no doubt the teachers would not be pleased. He instantly felt guilty. Granger–no, Hermione–had risked her almost-perfect record just to help him after he'd bullied her and her friends last year. He'd have to make it up to her somehow.
Annabet, Nico, Will, percy, and Thalia all had to go with the first years in order to be sorted, so they parted ways and went to the carriages. There, there were these skeletal horses with black leathery wings pulling the carriages. They gave off a strange.. Aura. He turned to Hermione and asked what they were.
"Hey, Granger. What do you think those weird, skeletal horses are?"
She paused, giving him a strange look. "What horses?" she asked.
Draco stared at her, confused. "You know, the ones pulling the carriages," he said.
Ron looked very puzzled. "Are you going mad or something, Mal–I mean, Black? There are no horses," he said.
Draco sighed, frustrated. "Nevermind." He climbed into the carriage.
/(*Thalia*)\
Boats. Of course they had to get on boats to get to the castle. Thalia sighed. She wished she never had to go on this dam quest. She wanted to be back with the Hunters, with Reyna. No, she told herself. Think about that later. You'll go back, but right now, you have to focus. She steeled her nerves and cautiously stepped into the boat with Percy in it, praying to Poseidon not to drown her right then and there. When nothing happened, she sat down, a little more relaxed. She was still tense, though, and that did not change until they docked at the castle.
Speaking of the castle, it was huge. It had a sort of medieval look to it, but it was seven stories high, not to mention the fact that it most likely had a dungeon. When they were all led into the entrance hall by a stern-looking woman in her fifties, her jaw would have dropped had she not already been to Olympus. Thalia glanced around and saw that Annabeth was chattering away at Percy and Nico sticking close to Will. She turned around as they entered the Great Hall, where the tables were already full of students. The lady who led them all in walked up to the front.
"Students of Hogwarts. This year, we will be hosting five exchange students from America. They will need to be Sorted tonight, but will join second year. I expect you to respect them just as much as you respect everyone else," she said in a commanding tone. The students started murmuring and glancing over at the first years.
An old, raggedy talking hat was then brought up and began singing about all the Houses. Thalia tuned it out and instead focused on her surroundings.
The three long tables were filled with teenage students of varying ages. Each table wore different colors: green, blue, yellow, and red. There was also a banner above each table; one red with a gold lion, one yellow with a black badger, one blue with a bronze eagle, and one green with a silver snake. The four Houses, Thalia guessed. When she looked at the crowd that was around her, her eyes caught on one particular person. A tall, slim, green-haired boy who looked generally annoyed. At first glance, he seemed normal enough. But there was something.. off, about him. He made Thalia nervous. He glanced over and she quickly looked away. The hat went silent, and the Sorting began.
"Abernathy, Lars!" the woman who led them into the hall called. A small, timid looking boy walked up the stool the Hat rested on. It stayed there for a moment, appearing to mutter to itself. Then, suddenly, it shouted, "HUFFLEPUFF!" The yellow badger table burst into applause as the boy walked over to said table.
Thalia tried to figure out which table was which, which was fairly easy. The yellow one was Hufflepuff, and she guessed the one with the bird was Ravenclaw. She also remembered Draco saying that he was a Slytherin, and she spotted him at the green table. So the red one must be Gryffindor.
She was startled out of her thoughts at the sound of "Chase, Annabeth!" being called up. Annabeth walked up to the front, sat on the stool, and closed her eyes as the Hat was placed on her head. It stayed still for a moment, muttering for a while. Then it shouted out, "SLYTHERIN!" Annabeth calmly got up and walked to the green table which was bursting with applause.
Nico was soon called up. "GRYFFINDOR!" the Hat yelled. He nervously shuffled over to the red table. A few names later, it was Thalia's turn.
She sat on the stool, and once the Hat was put on her head, she heard a voice in her head. Another one? How many of you are there? it asked.
Thalia started. Relax, Daughter of Zeus. I simply wish to sort you. Now, if you'll just let me into your mind... Thalia was skeptical at first, but she eventually relented. Ahh, bravery at its finest. I know exactly where to put you, demigod.
"GRYFFINDOR!" it shouted aloud. She walked over to where Nico was and sat down.
Several more people got Sorted while Thalia really took everything in. That's when "King, Vex!" was called up. The green-haired boy from before was called up, looking just as, well, vexed as before. The Hat shouted "SLYTHERIN!" before it even touched his head. He maintained his expression as he strode over to the snake table.
The Sorting concluded quicker than Thalia thought it would. Percy was Sorted into Hufflepuff, and Will was sorted into Gryffindor. Nico cheered the loudest when the latter occurred. An old man–Dumbledore, his name was–stepped up to the front, stating that the Forbidden Forest was, to no one's surprise, forbidden, and named a few things off of a list of 417 magical items that were banned. With that, he spoke the two magic words, and the banquet appeared. Along with the ghosts, which made Nico very uncomfortable.

They had a lovely meal, went up to their dorms, and lived happily ever after. Until the next day.
Hello, and happy holidays. Sorry, this was a short one, but I didn't want to waste the random motivation I got (who knows when that will happen again!). So this is all you get. No whining.
See ya'll next chapter.
