After a week he's finally up on his feet wandering around your apartment like a curious cat. Which explains his chosen form. He can now eat full meals but he still won't tell you anything about him or where he came from.
"Hey, do you wanna go out today?" He looks up at you after the question. You can practically see two little cat ears flicking on the top of his head as he eyes you with caution.
"You're not gonna give me back right?"
"No, I don't even know who I'd be giving you back to. I know nothing about you. I just want to take you out so you aren't cooped up in this house. Plus we could get you some new clothes." You motion to his clothes which are still the clothes you found him in.
"Okay...but don't give me back."
"I won't I promise."
He nods his head and you motion for him to come with you to the front door and lead him out to your car. You help him buckle in and drive off deciding to go to the mall since it has the most options. Once you're there he looks around as if looking for someone, it takes him a few seconds to notice how bright everything is and he tries to hide behind you like a kid at a family reunion.
"It's okay. I know malls are a lot. Let's just find some clothes for you. If you see something you like just let me know." You take him into the first clothing store you see. He looks at all the clothing with wide eyes.
Eventually, you left that store with 3 bags. You sigh to yourself mourning a piece of your bank account. You walk past the food court and he stops in his tracks sniffing the air. You chuckle and shake your head.
"Do you want to stop for some food?" He looks over at you like a deer caught in headlights. You chuckle again. "I came out here expecting this. Come on let's find something you like." You motion for him to follow you. He looks at all the different restaurants. You can almost see the steam coming out of his ears.
"Here let's just get some pretzels. That way you don't have to think too much about it." You pull him toward the pretzels and buy two pretzel bite cups. He takes one out and sniffs it before taking a bite. His eyes light up like Christmas as he eats the whole bite. He scarfs them down finishing the whole thing in seconds.
"I'm glad you like it." He reaches for yours. "Hey, these are mine." He pouts like a puppy and you chuckle. "I can make better pretzels at home." His eyes light up again.
"Okay, let's head home. It's about to get dark out." You finish up your food and head toward the exit. You get this strange feeling like you're being watched. You turn around and see a shadow move. You blink and shake your head. Did that just happen or are you imagining things?
You feel Dragon tugging on your sleeve. "Are you okay?" You turn to look at him. "Yeah...Yeah, I'm okay. Let's head home." You turn to look one more time and sigh. You decide to go to bed straight away when you get home. Maybe you just had a long day.
