I was sat in potions, thinking back to this morning with Sirius. Not the best class to get lost in daydreams in, but the heart wants what the heart wants.

"Mr Lupin. Would you like to tell the class how many times you should stir the cauldron after adding the rose oil?" the professor asked, interrupting my daydreams. A bit rude.

I looked at the professor and then down to my notes of Amortentia.

Add the rose oil to the cauldron.

Stir 7 times, anticlockwise.

Lower the heat, cover, and leave to brew for 7 days.

"Um. After adding rose oil, you stir it seven times anticlockwise, lower the heat, cover it and allow it to brew for seven days before continuing the process." I told him, trying my hardest to look anywhere but him.

"Very good, Mr Lupin. If you wouldn't mind paying attention to the class instead of daydreaming about your many love interests." the professor said, turning back to his desk and picking up a pile of papers.

"There's only one." I mumbled and turned to look to my right where James was sat smiling like an idiot at me. Merlin, he heard me.

"Stop smiling at me like that, Potter." I whispered, and his smile only grew wider.

"Who is she?" James asked.

"What?"

"Who's the girl that's got you daydreaming in potions? You never daydream especial in class." he said, smiling wider again if that was even possible.

"It's no one, James. Forget about it." I told him, turning to look at the back of class, to where I knew Sirius was most likely doodling instead of taking class notes.

There he was doodling on a scrap piece of parchment in his usual careless glory.

Merlin, I love that man. How could someone look so perfectly placed anywhere they went? It has to be impossible, right? Sirius looks perfectly placed anywhere. It's almost as if everything is made around where he stands or in this case sits.

I turned back to my desk and found a spare piece of parchment and started writing.

My prince,

May I say how absolutely stunning you look sat effortlessly, not paying attention to the class.

I hope you don't expect my assistance in passing the upcoming exam.

I folded the paper into a dove and sent it gliding towards Sirius, waiting for him to read it.

I looked back at him and saw the smile he was trying to hide.

"What are you smiling at?" James asked, snapping me back.

"What? Um nothing. Get back to your notes." I told him, focusing on my own and trying not to turn back and stare at the beauty in the back of the class.
