"Yes, Mom. I'm fine. Yes. Yes. No, you don't need to send that many maids. I mean, you don't even need to send any, okay? Yes. I promise.. yes. Okay, Mom... Hey, Dad. Yeah, I'm fine. Yep. Okay, you too. Bye" I hung up the phone and sighed.

"What's wrong?" Cheska asked, taking a sip from her strawberry shake. "Mom was about to send ten maids. And a butler." I explained.

"Woah. For someone who had a sudden fever and fainting? That's few. Should've thought of sending twenty maids. And a butler."

I widened my eyes at her, "Don't you dare giving my mother any ideas. That's not even a joke to her."

"Sorry, sorry." she giggled. "Anyways, as I was saying a food brawl started when you lost your consciousness and no one snitched out on Liam and Brad, so everyone involved was asked to clean the cafeteria"

I didn't say anything anymore since I was already getting into my Math work which is rare, because, well, its Math.

An hour passed and I'm already onto my English report when Cheska already has to go. "You sure you don't want me to sleep here? You live alone in a pretty big house" she asked before getting in her car.

"It's school night. We wouldn't be getting any sleep if you do." I said and then she left after we came to an understanding that I have a point.

Just a second after entering my house, my phone rang and I saw Liam calling then I answered curious as to what he wants, "What's up?"

"You awake?" He asked. "Nah" I answered, he was silent for a few seconds and then "Go outside for awhile. I'm here." And then he ended the call.

That was weird.

I went out and saw him. Liam was sitting at the steps of the house, I sat down beside him and waited for him to say whatever he made me go out for.

"So..?" I trailed off.

"..Uh-It's just.. um.." and the he cleared his throat.

"What?" All this fidgeting is making  me impatient.

"I..uh.. I'm sorry." He finally said. And I stared at him, contemplating why he was sorry.

And then I bursted out laughing as I got why he apologized. "You think that's a bit narcissistic, Liam? Blaming yourself for my fever?" I teased.

And if it weren't for the dark surroundings, I could've swore he was blushing. "Well, you do know what happened the other day, right? I was the sick one then.." and then he muttered something under his breath about a word with 's'.

"What?" I asked.

"Nothing." 'K then.

After a few seconds, he suddenly stood up, stretched his arms out and looked back at me. "Well, that's just it. You can laugh all you want but I've already said what I wanted to say. Good. Bye."

I giggled, "Sure, sure. Go on. Bye."

He was about to reach the side of the road, not yet passing the fences when he looked back again. "Hey, what do.. girls usually want for their birthday?"

Talk about sudden change in convos.

"Hmm, depends. Jewelry, Bags, etcetera. Why?"

He just shrugged with a small smile playing on his lips. "Goodnight, Knight." He says, and he climbed up the fence, landed on the other side and went straight to where he lives.

Oh. So that's how he gets in here even though the gate's locked.

I stayed there for a couple minutes, just staring at the moon and thought about the look Liam had on when he was asking about gifts.

Must be nice to be in love, huh. I thought as I stood up and went inside the house.
