Chapter 140: Zephyr vs Edward Weevil

the sea roared and churned, whipped into a frenzy by powerful winds. Amidst the tempest, a lone warship was tossed about like a toy. On the island itself, Z, also known as Zephyr, clashed fiercely with a hulking figure.

Zephyr's eyes burned with fury as he roared, unleashing a barrage of attacks.

"Damn you!"

His rage was absolute. He had lost his family long ago, murdered by pirates.

He had poured his heart and soul into training his students, treating them like his own children, only to see them slaughtered in another senseless pirate attack.

His heart ached with an unquenchable fury.

His opponent, a seemingly simple-minded giant wielding a naginata similar to Whitebeard's, was Edward Weevil, the self-proclaimed son of Whitebeard. Despite his apparent lack of intelligence, his strength and Haki were monstrous.

CLANG!

Zephyr's fist collided with Weevil's naginata, the force of the impact sending him staggering backward. A bloody gash appeared on his Seastone-infused mechanical arm.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

Zephyr fought like a man possessed, unleashing a flurry of punches, reminiscent of his days as the legendary "Black Arm" Zephyr.

But age and the accumulated injuries had taken their toll. He was no Garp, and even among Admirals, he was considered to be on the weaker side. He couldn't withstand Weevil's relentless assault, constantly being pushed back.

WHOOSH!

Weevil's speed was astonishing, like a younger Whitebeard without the Quake-Quake Fruit. He appeared behind Zephyr in a flash, his naginata slicing downwards.

"HAAAA!"

Zephyr roared, meeting the attack head-on.

CRACK!

Metal shrieked against metal. Weevil's naginata pierced Zephyr's Busoshoku Haki, but Zephyr only grinned savagely, ignoring the searing pain as he drove his fist into Weevil's gut.

WHOOSH!

Weevil dodged the blow with ease. Gripping his naginata with both hands, a ferocious glint in his eyes, he roared and brought the weapon down on Zephyr with all his might.

It was an attack meant to kill.

Zephyr couldn't dodge, nor did he want to. He channeled his Busoshoku Haki to its limit, meeting Weevil's equally powerful Haki head-on.

Weevil poured every ounce of his strength into the strike, the force of the blow far exceeding Zephyr's. The battle had begun in earnest.

Edward Weevil and Miss Buckingham weren't their primary targets, but encountering them was an opportunity they couldn't pass up. If Weevil became aware of their pursuit, tracking him down would become far more difficult.

Ten years ago, a ship full of Zephyr's students, young Marines brimming with potential, had been slaughtered.

All but two, Ain and Binz, had perished at the hands of the self-proclaimed son of Whitebeard. The incident was no secret within the Marines, leading to a 400 Million Berry Bounty being placed on Edward Weevil's head.
