Is This Our Last Embrace?

Chapter Two

Starlight was a nice video to shoot. Its such a peaceful song with a lot of passion put into it. I just hope Dom doesn't ever realise that it may have been about him.

We all put our life jackets on and listened to the instructions given by the safety person. Chris wobbled slightly as he got into the small boat that took us over to the other boat. Dom gazed out onto the horizon and I admired his every move. His face glowed from the light of the sun. He seemed to be like an angel. Dom certainly looked heavenly that day. Also I wasn't too keen on the white trousers... but then again, anything is better than the yellow ones!

I held onto the rails tightly when we first got on. I looked over the side and saw the waves crashing against the sides. My stomach turned upside down and my face turned pale. "Matt!" Dom ran over and pulled me away. "We need to go to meet the captain!" He said and pulled me down to the captains cabin. I stumbled along behind him until we reached the cabin. Dom knocked on the door and smiled as he entered. Chris smiled and waved at me. I waved back and started talking to the captain of the ship. He told us about how long trips take and that nothing like this had happened on the ship before.

The captain took us to a room with table tennis. I finished my banana off and laughed as we entered the room. Dom kept glancing over at me and looking away once i looked at him. Chris grabbed a table tennis bat and started playing with some of the crew. I smiled whenever Chris won.

"Everyone get into position!" A camera guy shouts and I grab my guitar. I place it over my shoulders then hear Dom laughing quietly. It was obvious that he was laughing at the whole 'get into position' thing. I smiled once i heard his laugh. Chris started playing when the music was put on in the background.

"Far away..." I began to sing and look out at the sea. It was one of the best feelings. Looking out at the endless horizon at sunset on a large platform with nothing else surrounding you but the waves of the sea. I tried not to slip into a daydream, however it was hard to do.

Dom ran over with a red flare in his hand. "WHO'S READY?" He laughed and handed me the flare. I looked at it and then shook my head. "Not me!" I joked and saw Dom skipping over to the side of the ship. Chris ran after him and chased Dom around for a while.

My ears rang once i set off the first flare. "WHAT WAS THAT?" I shouted at Dom who said something before. He laughed and walked over.

"I SAID THAT WAS LOUD!" He shouted back into my ear which didn't help. I closed my eyes tightly because of the pain in my ears. "Whats wrong...?" Dom asked quietly and held onto my hand discretely. I held on for dear life and replied with a "My ears hurt."

Chris walked over and gave me a hug. Dom smiled as Chris walked away again. I looked up at Dom and rested my head on his shoulder. "Did I mention we are setting more off?" He asked and I sighed angrily. He grabbed me by the shoulders and took my away.

However i am glad we did set them all off. The sky was absolutely beautiful once they all shot up into the pitch black night sky. If only Dom and I were alone then. It would have made everything a lot better.

"Thats it!" Everyone cheered as the red smoke faded away. I looked up at the sky one last time before I made my way back over to everyone else. Dom winked at me quickly and we all went back on land. I held onto the boat, scared that something bad would happen. Nothing did. I felt stupid.

Chris got into the car closely followed by Dom then me. He laughed at us.

"Whats so funny?" Dom asked Chris.

"You two... You aren't very good at hiding things are you?"

"What do you mean?" I asked getting quite flustered.

"I mean your relationship. I saw you two holding hands. Lets just hope no one else did otherwise... God knows what will happen if anyone else knows."

Dom sighed. I looked at him and took his hand again. Chris gazed out of the window so i took the chance to shuffle closer to Dom. "Its fine." I smiled and rested my chin on Dom's shoulder.

"Matt, it might be... It might not..." Dom looked back at me. "All we can do is hope that no one saw us..." I nodded and let go of his hand. Chris got out first as we arrived at the hotel.

"See you both tomorrow! Goodnight!" Chris said before he waved and left us alone by the reception desk. Dom held both of my hand and swung them softly. He looked into my eyes for a while and I looked back into his. The silence was beautiful. "I should go as well..." He sighed quietly and let go of my hands. "Okay..." I replied sadly and looked down at my feet.

I felt Dom's warm breath against my neck. He kissed my cheek before I gazed at him again. "Maybe you could stay in my room tonight..." I suggested. It would be the first time we had slept in the same bed. He shook his head. "I would but... what if Chris finds-"

"If he does then it doesn't matter... he is one of our best friends ever and i know that you trust him with everything!" I smiled softly and held onto Dom's right hand with mine. He interlocked our fingers and nodded. "Fine..." He gave in and followed me up to my room.

I unlocked the door with they key and opened it up. Every time I walked in it took my breath away. The bed was extremely stylish as was the rest of the room. Everything within it was immaculate and of a neutral colour. It wasn't like a grans old beige house. It was modern, like nothing I had seem before. "Matt... i don't have my pyjamas." Dom mumbled shyly.

"Then just wear your boxers." I smirked, suddenly feeling flirtatious. Dom nodded and walked over to the bed where he took a seat and took his shirt off. I went to the toilet and walked back to see Dom just in his boxers. I tried to hide my feelings but it wasn't that easy to control. I got into just my boxers as well and sat next to Dom. "Sleepy?" I asked awkwardly.

"Yeah..." Dom yawned and got under the covers. I sighed quietly to myself. It was obvious he didn't feel as passionate as me and I knew it would be awkward if I let myself go. I out my dressing gown on and got in next to Dom. "Goodnight Matthew..." Dom teased and kissed my forehead. I blushed and laid my head on the pillow.

"Goodnight Dominic." I replied and fell asleep.
