I set my room into a style where the four of us could have a cozy sleepover though it was very uncalled for. I didn't notice Jisung and Jeongin were going through conflicts together, I'd assume they were once of the most stable with their horny hormones. But I guess sex-driven people weren't gonna last long.
Remembering what I saw on the chat, I was on Jisung's side. I knew of how he'd struggle socially, he wasn't an outgoing person unless it was people he knew very well. And seeing that he was alone now, he really needed us.
Jeongin on the other hand, I have no idea what's going on, I'd like to assume he has his reasons for being the way he is considering he's one of the most normal and sane people out of the eight of us. But the lash out against Jisung made me rethink about him.
The doorbell rang, I strode out of my room to get the door. Greeted with the three people coming over— I opened the door letting them come in and slide their coats off.
"Do you have food?" Jisung asked the moment he got in with a smile. But he hid something behind it— his cheeks were pink and his eyes were puffy. He didn't want to talk about it— It was as clear as stone.
"I ordered pizza," I smile.
"I love pizza," Felix grinned, licking his lips.
"You two are such biggies," Seungmin grimaced but a smile grew to his lips.
"Oh, let me see the ring—" Felix stopped mid sentence upon the words he left. Seungmin seemed hesitant knowing Jisung was going through a hard time.
"Don't stop because of me," Ji laughed. "I want to see to," He took his jacket off taking Seungmin's hand to admire the ring.
"It's pretty." Felix said, trying to act normal.
"I'm happy for you Seung," He smiled at the younger.
"Thank you," Seungmin said, smiling back.
"Now what should we do?" I ask.
"You have alcohol, I need to get drunk out of my mind and wake up tomorrow feeling like shit."
"Han—"
"Is it in your fridge?" He ignored me walking to the kitchen.
"Is this a good idea?" I asked Seungmin.
"I may be a doctor but that only goes as far as physical injuries," He thinned his lips. "Maybe he just needs some—"
"I need beer," Jisung said grinning and taking a glass cup from the cupboards. "Want some, Hyung?" He asked.
"Sure." I say contemplating whether I wasn't making a mistake.
"And you two?" Jisung asked with a sick grin. He was really struggling. I could see it, and neither noticed. What kind of friends were we?
I walked to the boy, my arms lifting up and hugging his frame. He froze in my embrace, he was cold and I couldn't feel his body heat.
"You need a hug, and your friends." I say. Seungmin and Felix also joined and the four of us stood here hugging the squirrel boy who started to tear up and sob softly.
"T-thank you."
"I'm sorry we didn't notice, Hyung," Felix said, his voice broken with a deep octave.
"It's okay, I-it's my fault for not telling anyone—"
"It's not your fault," Seungmin said, rubbing his back and slowly stepping back. "And we're here with you now, let's make the most of it." Seungmin smiled.
