-July, 22, 1865-
I watched as Lily tossed and turned she was ripping the sheets around her crying out. I brought several doctors up to see her yet no one could figure out what was wrong.
“Lily. My love.” I whispered as I brushed my hand through her hair she stirred as her baby blue eyes looked up at me.
“Charles. don’t leave me.”
“Lily I have to find you a doctor.” he cried, leaving me alone yet again. Sitting up I felt nothing but pain my veins burned for blood I cried out for anyone to come help but no one came.
“My darling children.” rubbing my belly I sobbed and looked to the window and than to Charles journal.
-Town-
I rushed to the doctor and demanded he see Lily once more, he hissed.
“There is nothing I can do for her she is dead!” grabbing him by the neck I threatened.
“You will do something now!!” he cowered and I saw urine form in a puddle on the floor, throwing him in disgust.
“T-there is a doctor of your kind just far off into the mountain he lives near the top are you willing to go that far?”
My dear lily please hold on I will find you someone to help.
I took a horse and race to the mountain it would take me a good week and a half to get there.
-Weeks later-
Knocking on the door, it creaked and a little boy opened the door.
“You must be Charles.” he bowed and lead me into the small hut. A man sat in the corner I was intrigued he was younger than me about sixteen, and to practice medicine.
“Ah Charles. Margret told me you would find me sooner or later, you don’t remember me but I was there when she blessed you so to say. I‘m Gregory”
We sat and chatted the cold didn’t affect either on of us but the boy.
“Master…” he wined and huddled up in a worn out blanket. Gregory got up and made a fire he happily sat close warming up.
“My assistant.” nonchalantly said.
“My Wife Lily is very ill and pregnant with my child. Can you help her?” Gregory put a hand up; Gregory took a glass bottle from the shelf and handed it to me.
“You say she’s pregnant?” he grabbed a book.
“yes. And she can no longer go in sunlight.” he dropped the book, his hands gripped my shoulders tight.
“you didn’t leave her alone did you?!” shaking my head I just wanted to scream have I done something wrong? Is my dear lily alright.
“Yes. I had to in order to come to you.”
“You should have at least locked her away and kept a steady supply of blood with her. Ah pregnant vampires tend to revert back to old ways…really old ways. And if the blood lust gets out of control they tend to kill themselves.” he rushed around gathering things before picking up the sleeping boy and handing him to me.
“Take him and take my hand.”
Gregory’s bones started to shift his eyes changed from red to black in an instant, he screamed and fell to one knee.
Wings?
Gregory was much older than I, his wings stretched and moved before he took off to the kingdom. Soon we were there. Running we made our way to the room, Horace stood in my way before I pushed him down and opened the door.
