Three Fold

Part 17

I silently got up trying not to wake Charles, he was haunted by his past every night, his Lily, Rachel, Xavier and Henry…but most of all Alisha this woman is tearing my Charles apart. Everyone lay resting even the humans, Charles knew nothing of my betrayal to him or did he? After checking on the boys I took myth for a walk he was so loyal and sweet.

“You know.  don’t you?” I smiled to myself , seeing the stars for the first time in a while.

“Sonya. What are you doing up so late?”

Aiden sat on the gargoyle a few feet away, stretching out his wings smiling.

“The stars are beautiful.”

“That they are. You can’t sleep I take it?”

“No.”

Aiden jumped down and came to my side.

“Sonya you are so beautiful, what is this?”

He traced his hands down my back to the scars Charles left over the years. Taking Aiden’s hand I stopped him.

“We shouldn’t.”

“Sonya leave him, I could make you so happy.”

Pulling away, I walked away he grabbed me roughly turning me to face him.

“Please.”

“I can’t leave the children.”

“Take them with you. We’ll be so happy together.”

Aiden’s lips met mine I felt so much passion with him rather than Charles. He kissed me more lovingly which lead to a series of things I’d love to forget, but couldn’t. I couldn’t forget the way he touched me, the way his lips met mine, the way he’d say my name. how he’d hold me just how much he loved me. Charles must never know…he mustn’t know how I’ve betrayed him.

“Come my love, be happy for me.” 

I lay in bed wondering if Sonya is alright. She was badly hurt because of me. She came and got Myth I followed her after that. Soon I saw where she’s been going at night. A secret lover. I wouldn’t blame her Charles was a monster. I  stood in the shadows watching. He truly loves her I thought to myself. He took her hand pulling her close before flying off.  Before I left I heard him say.

I’ll take good care of her.

And he did I kept her secret for a few more months. He later found out I heard it all.

“Papa please! Stop hurting Sonya!!” Blake cried trying to stop him I just stood there as he beat her repeatedly .

How could she do this to me! I gave her everything!

“Stop Master!” a few of the servants tried to stop me as I dragged her out into the court yard she kicked and screamed.

“You bastard! I love him.”

“If you love him so much than go be with him.”

Sonya looked up to his hanging corpse and screamed and cried.

“Aiden! No!” I felt nothing when she hit me with all the strength she had, the pain for her was too great as she broke down once more.

“C-charles…why?”

“Why? You ask this now.” I laughed at the obscene question laying my hands on her neck.

“You’re a filthy whore to me now. I no longer need an heir from you. Today you will burn.”

“N-no please…I’ve seen the error of my ways! I don’t want to die!” her hands gripped my shirt tight the fabric nearly ripping. I gave her everything yet she runs around. Could this be from the monstrous attention I’ve given her. Why have a changed so much was it this power I’ve gained?

“On second thought I will need you.”

Blake and I haven’t seen Sonya in about 3 months now we wonder where father has hidden her? Or maybe he killed her.

“Mike come on lets find Trevor and look for Sonya, I miss her so much.”

I set down my book and nodded. The only thing we knew was father would see her at night. Asking everyone in the kingdom they just shook their heads saying they couldn’t help. Night fell and we went to investigate. Father wasn’t so quite about where he was going we found ourselves in the tower going up the steps as father spoke.

“Sonya I’ve got a gift for you…please stop crying.”

He opened the door and we quickly followed propping the door open a little. Sonya sat looking out the window.

“What is it now Charles?” she sounded weak and fed up.

“You need to eat.”

He presented his neck to me I just went back to staring outside.

“Darling. Please eat. Or I’ll force you.”
