Kekes POV
I look out the window to see the airport. I had just flown in from Michigan to start my new adventure at Iowa. I was going to Iowa to join their women's basketball team. I was very nervous, Ecspecially because I was told one of my new team mates would be picking me up from the airport.

I look up and see that it's my turn to depart the plane. I grab my carry on and get off the plane. Looking for where I pick up my suitcase. I see people from my flight walking to a baggage claim so I follow all of them. Once I get there I pick up my luggage and walk away from baggage claim. I get a text from an unknown number

UNKNOWN

Hi this is Kate Martin
one of the captins on
Iowa WBB. I'll be picking
you up today, so text me
when you get your suitcase

Hi Kate, this is Kendra.
Thank you so much for picking
me up I really appreciate it.
Im ready for you to come in!

Once I finish texting Kate, I wait for her to walk in. I know absolutely noting about this team, so I don't really know what Kate looks like. I stand there looking around until I see a girl walk up to me waving.

"Hi Kendra, it's me Kate" she says and runs up to me and gives me a hug. I'm not the biggest touch her so I just stand there. I slowly give her a hug back so she dosnet think anything bad about me. Once she lets go I go back and start grabbing my stuff. "Here let me help you with some of your stuff" she says and she grabs one of my suitcases.

"You don't ahve time do tha" I say.

"Don't worry about it" she replies back as I put my backpack back on my back. She then looks at me smiles and leads us to her car. Once we get to her car, we put my stuff in her trunk and then I go and get in the passenger seat while she gets in the drivers seat.

"Thank you so much for picking me up" I say to her once we start driving.

"Aww, I already love you so much. We're gonna get along great" she says. " so tell me a bit about yourself. You're kinda like a wild card coming into this team. Your the only freshman and none of us now anything about you, and Coach refuses to tell us everything about you." She says and she looks over and smiles at me.

"Well my names Kendra, but people call me Keke" I say

"I love that and I already feel like Keke fits you so well" she says.

"Umm I'm from East Lansing Michigan, and I played basketball for my highschool all four years of highschool" I say, that's basically everything about me. U don't have anything interesting in my life that's of inorganic.

"Well, how did you get scouted for this team" she asks "I've never seen you at any clinics, or actually herd your name before" she looks at me "not that thats bad I'm just curious"

"Well I played in high school and loved it until the end of my senior year where I hated it, which led to me quoting. But I still wanted to okay basketball so randomly I went and played basketball with random like pickup games at Michigan State even though everyone there was older. " I say and Kate nods telling me to countinues my story. "Well one day the Michigan State girls coach saw me and she said she would love to ahve me on her team, but I was to good for them, so she made a call to your coach and your coach came and watched me play for a few days and then offered me a spot of your team." I say finishing my story.

"Wow that's really cool." She says as we pull up to  my dorm room. I will be the only one on the team who is living in this dorm room. I also will be the only one on the team without a car. So that will be a nightmare cause I will have to walk everywhere. Once she puts the car in park she looks at me with a big smile on her face. "Looks like it's time to move into your first college dorm KEke". She looks way more excited then I can as she opens her door and goes to the trunk she opens the trunk as we both grab stuff out of it to take up stairs. I'm living on the third floor in room 303. Once we get to the door I open it up. My roommate is not moving in till tommorow so it will be jsut me here tonight.

"This is gonna be hard just the two of us, do you mind if I text one of the other girls to help us" she asks me as she sets my stuff down.

"No I don't mind at all" I say even though in the inside I am panicking becuase I am terrified of meeting new people. Alright sounds good.

KATES POV

Keke I so quiet and I can barely get her to talk to me. I feel bad, becuase she seems like such a kind person. She just needs a little push to get out of her comfort zone and into the groove. I ask her if she's good with me asking someone else to help her move in. I do this becuase if someone else is her she might talk more. I grab my phone out to text Caitlin.

Caitlin

so quiet and I need her to
get out of her comfort zone.

Okay I'm on my way
