Mrs Anashé Evans
The sun was soothing on my skin on this beachside.
Being here in Panama with Michael was a choice I wasn't sure was the right one...I mean, I barely know him, but I did get him in trouble and he knew just how to make a good enough argument to leave our problems back in JA for a while.
I have no regrets at the moment.
I went to see the kids before we left, and told them mommy was going on a little vacation. No one knows where I am, and luckily, or maybe the opposite, Jaxn, Capri and myself aren't on speaking terms right now, so Kai won't be able to press them for information.
I explained to mommy...but I left out the Michael part.
No one would understand, especially her.
I just needed to find myself again...be away from the drama...as much as Michael would allow.
He knows everything, so he tells me everything.
He knows Malikai's every move which is scary. A man like this should be feared, and I'm not gonna lie, a lot of people may have more fear fi di man wid gun, but dem need fi look into the one weh can fuck up yuh life with just codes on a computer screen.
He could wipe all of your accounts, steal your identity, hack your encrypted files for blackmail and such more scary shit.
I had asked him to stay out of Kai's business. I told him I wasn't comfortable with him hacking my husband...re-fucking-gardless of our current predicament. He had no argument, he simply nodded and told me he'd find other means to track his movements for his own safety.
Michael had no living relatives, and was married once before. He told me his wife, Gina had died a few years back in a car accident and a few years back and he's been single ever since. A few one offs with girl here and there, but nothing serious.
The man was like a data machine that had all the answers, and the Panamanian women? Them love him yuh fuck.
Him work that 'tall, golden eyes, beard, big muscles and tattoos look' to his advantage.
Not that he needs it...he's too smart for his own good. Come to find out he also has a PHD in Cyber Security. So he's not only Michael the man with all the information, but Dr Winters.
Surprisingly we also had a lot in common.
In the three days we've been away so far, he's managed to reignite the love of reading that I had all but put down due to my hands and eyes being needed elsewhere all these years. Between the kids and Kai, August Town business, somewhere along the way I lost me.
I haven't looked back on my studies. Although to be fair, I reached the height I wanted to in academia.
But, now that I've had this moment to think, I know now being a Don's wife isn't the end all be all for me. I can't even blame Kai for that...he's never limited me. If anything, he would support anything I say I wanted to do...except leave him, of course.
Speaking of...the divorce.
I don't know where my head is at with that, but I do know I don't wanna be with him right now.
I also know, my little note and bottle of panadol nah mek this any better. But what can I say?...if him can fuck Zasha...mi can cause my own like chaos, too.
"Mrs Evans, why would you wear a thong bikini out pon the people dem beach with me as company?" Michael laughed as he came under the beach cabana we booked. He was dripping wet, water dripping down his face and abs looked more like oil on his skin and his golden eyes glistened under his long lashes.
