It had been a week since the funeral, and schools were set to reopen the following week. My family and I had returned home. It has been hard accepting that Mgani is gone but then it's not like that's changeable. Well the Ay-twins have also returned to boarding school and now they won't be able to finish their primary school there because Mgani is no more so they'll move in with us next year as they won't have anyone that would visit them every weekend.

The family had gathered to discuss the future of the house and my grandparents' belongings. It was decided that the house would become a family home, where everyone could gather and share memories.

However, Aunt Maria as toxic as she is had some reservations. She had built her own room on the property, with the help of her American husband, which is true so she wanted to ensure that it would remain hers.

The family reassured her that her room would always be hers, and that it would not be included in any discussions about the family home.

The family also discussed the businesses and assets that my grandparents had left behind. My grandparents had five successful businesses, and it was decided that each of my dad, aunts and uncles would receive a 10% share in each of the five businesses.

This meant that they would each receive a significant portion of the profits from each business, ensuring their financial stability and security.

As for the remaining 20% of the businesses, it was decided that this would be shared equally among the grandchildren, including me. This was a generous gesture, and we were all grateful for the opportunity to benefit from our grandparents' hard work and legacy.

Well guess whose birthday is in 2 months well to be exact maybe just a month and a few days away kodwa oksalayo it's happening and I was excited to celebrate another year of life.

I had already started planning my outfit and had a few things in mind. Smelo and I were also planning a weekend getaway with our mothers, which was a birthday present from both of them.

My dad had also promised to upgrade my phone as a birthday gift. I was thinking of upgrading to either an iPhone 13 Pro Max or an iPhone 15, but I hadn't made up my mind yet. Well I'm not getting it just like that ehhh , girl got 5 distinctions , level 6 for accounting and level 4 for visual arts , I'm even changing it for agriculture or geography cause its decreasing my average I don't wanna lie.

Nkosenye is also taking me on a holiday trip to Cape Town as a birthday gift for the June holidays. It's gonna be after my birthday but I'm sure it's gonna help me with not stressing about June exam results

As for the squad, we haven't discussed any outings yet because some of them were still on holiday, and we would have to wait until they returned to make any plans well if we still have time.

Yeyyy nina ake nginixoxele indaba. So like y'all remember Zandile mocc ,the one we had an encounter with at the mall with Ntsika? Yeah, that one. So, she called me yesterday and asked me to meet her at McDonald's today. Ningangibuzi ukuthi why cause nami angazi.

I was curious, so I asked her where she got my number. But she just brushed it off, saying it's not important for now. She just kept saying that she really needs to meet me. Yohh isbindi sa girl.

So, I asked her what this is about, but she didn't give me any details. She just said she'll tell me everything when we meet. And that's why I'm meeting her at McDonald's today.

My mom agreed to let me go.I also asked my dad, and he said it's okay, just as long as I'm back home early.

I stood up from my bed and headed to the bathroom to freshen up. After washing my face and brushing my teeth, I got dressed in a comfortable outfit. A cropped beige shrug top, taupe coloured crop top , olive/combo colourblock cargo pants and nike sneakers.
