(i came back and read it all over and i thought my story was bad but low-key its good. 🤦‍♂️ I'm sorry for doubting my skills of making a decent story and leaving this..i will try harder)

As Haerin arrived at her home, she shut the door behind her with a firm force, her mind racing with countless thoughts. With a heavy sigh, she stormed into her room, her bag dropping carelessly onto the floor. She collapsed onto her bed, her mind in turmoil.

She found herself contemplating the nature of her feelings towards Danielle. Was it friendship, or simply casual interactions? Whatever the case, one thing was certain - Danielle seemed to cling to her like a lost puppy, relentlessly appearing in her life without warning.

she released an exasperated sigh as she reclined onto her bed, her head hitting the pillow with a soft thump. Her blank expression fixated on the ceiling as her mind continued to spin. This school year had been far from mundane.

she had interacted with an array of individuals and met a few new faces, which deviated from her usual solitary routine. However, what perplexed her the most was the persistent figure that clung to her side, determined to become her "friend"

her  thoughts continued to swirl as she pondered the word "friend." Was it common for "normal" individuals to go to such lengths to befriend someone like her—a girl whose life revolved around constant self-improvement and relentless studying?

It hardly seemed logical. Why would anyone—especially if they had just met recently—want to establish a genuine friendship with someone so focused on academia and excellence? The whole situation felt puzzling, if not downright bizarre.

Haerin's peaceful contemplation was interrupted by a gentle knock on the door. Her mother's voice pierced through, requesting permission to enter. Haerin sat up abruptly, a hint of irritation evident in the way she rubbed her face in frustration.

Mustering up a monotone response, Haerin managed to utter a reluctant "yes." She looked up at the door with a blank expression, awaiting her mother's intrusion.

As the door slowly creaked open, Haerin's mother peaked in, her worried expression immediately apparent. In a soft, concerned voice, she inquired,

Haerin returned her gaze and quietly nodded, her response nonchalant.

"I'm fine, just been busy, is all," she replied.
