S1 E9: Macaque And The Huli-Jing (part 1)

MK: "You know, when I found out I was going to be trained by the Monkey Queen, Great Sage, Equal to Heaven, I had no idea that I'd be stuck here hammering walls 12 hours a day! *throws the hammer offscreen* Why am I doing this again?"

Sun Li Wukong: "Oh, so I can make a nice little breakfast nook. Get some light up in here."

Liùer: "That's just sounds dumb."

MK: "Exactly, besides I'm meant to be Monkie Kid, not Construction Gurl. How am I supposed to do the hero stuff if I don't know the fighting stuff?"

Sun Li Wukong: "Oh? So you want to know the 'fighting stuff', huh? Like this?"

Monkey Queen's eyes glow. She throws her staff and smashes a hole in the mural.

MK: "Huh? *sees the hole in the wall* Whoa. Yes, exactly like that! I am ready for some awesome.!"

Sun Li Wukong: "*laughs* Look, bud. You can't rush this stuff. You'll get there. You just need practice."

Liùer: "But this isn't practice. *motions to MK* And besides, for this idiot to learn something, it'll probably take months until she learns something!"

MK: "*looks at him in confusion* Huh?"

Sun Li Wukong: "*groans* I'm never going to teach her something you don't need to know, okay?"

Liùer: "*huffs* Ok, fine. I thought you were going to teach her something to actually listen to, but instead *turns his back away from them* you're just being moronic."

Monkey Queen then appeared suddenly behind him and knocked him off his feet before sending him to a pillar.

Sun Li Wukong: "See that's the issue with you, you think too much on things that's going to make you lose a fight."

Liùer: "Well, *pulls himself off the pillar* if you know so much about it, *stretches his back* why don't you teach me about it then?"

Sun Li Wukong: "I would love to, but I'm already teaching someone else right now. *turns to MK* Okay. Now, this priceless, ancient mural is not going to destroy itself. So remember: Step into the strike."

MK's phone rings. It's a call from Mei.

Mei: "MK, Liùer, we really need your help!"

MK: "A monster attacking the city? That's terrible. Dang, guess I got to go do some boring hero stuff with Liùer instead of, this. Okay, bye."

MK leaves with Liùer before Monkey Queen sighs. MK and Liùer arrive back in Megapolis towards where Mei is.

MK: "What did I miss?"

Mei: "MK, Liùer what took you two so long?!"

MK: "Sorry, sorry, Monkey Queen was making me do boring stuff. That the bad guy?"

An ominous purple monster looms over them as it stares at down at them.

MK: "Okay. Be right back. Here comes-"

Liùer: "*stops MK with his dark staff* Oh, no, not this time MK, this one is mine. *jumps towards the purple monster* Here comes-"

Mei: "No, wait!"

MK: "Hang on!"

Liùer: "-Shadow Kid-!"

He gets cut off when he is thrown back to the ground.
