The time for the convention had seemed to come around quickly, and neither of us could contain our excitement. On the day, we woke up around 6am and set about immediately getting ready – Charlotte, of course, wore her other Markiplier shirt and I wore one of my Harry Potter shirts, showcasing the house name 'Hufflepuff', which I belonged to.

"I want to get there early, there will already be a big queue." Charlotte huffed, as she rushed around making sure she'd done everything. I sat on the bed silently, knowing she would stress if I interfered, and raked through my bag for the umpteenth time to check if everything I needed was there – passes, purse, phone, keys, makeup.

"Are you ready?" Charlotte showed from the bathroom, her mouth obviously full of toothpaste.

"Been ready for about ten minutes," I laughed and then stopped as I could feel her glare at me from the next room. "Sorry, I am ready to go." I finished, but not before giving my bag a final check.

"Good, let's go." She re-emerged from the bathroom, and said this with a sense of finality. After we locked the door behind us, I turned to face her as she bounced on the spot. "I know what you're going to say, and I know I probably won't see him today. I'm not pinning any hopes on it, but there's always a chance..." She smiled and shrugged.

I smiled back. "Of course there is, I just care too much."

I placed my hands on Charlotte's shoulders as she bounced around on the spot in the queue. We were almost near the front and we had been queueing for hours, but it was all worth it as we came into view of the doors, allowing us to see a busy and loud crowd inside.

"I see what you're doing – getting exercise and waiting at the same time." I said and Charlotte laughed as she rubbed her hands together, partially in nervousness too.

"Do you have any idea where we're going when we get inside?" I wondered as we wandered up to the security guard.

"There's a map inside. I'm sure you'll figure out where everything is." He half-smiled and handed us our badges. I nodded my thanks and we were ushered in through the doors, almost forgetting that we shouldn't stand in front of them as we marvelled at what was going on around us.

"Right, where's Mark?" Charlotte asked, and laughed as I raised my eyebrows at her. "I'm kidding! I say we wander round for a bit and see what's what."

I shrugged and rolled my eyes. "That's your answer to everything," It was my turn to laugh as she raised heer eyebrows. "But sounds good, let's do it."

She smiled and walked over to the map. "Okay, well first off, I'm kinda hungry so we'll go find something to nibble on." She studied the map and, after a few moments of looking baffled, nodded and gestured for me to follow her as she headed off somewhere or other.

"You never know, we could pass him when we weren't looking – that usually happens to me." I pratically yelled as we weaved through the crowds and I tried to keep up with my friend.

"Me too!" She yelled back, and checked to see if I was still behind her. "But just know that if I spot him in passing, I'll stop dead in my tracks and be in a momentary daze." I laughed as I caught up to her and we stood in line for food.

I patted her shoulder. "Probably me too; not as much as you, mind, but I'm still a fan of his." She beamed back at me and gave my hand a quick squeeze before pondering the menu.

As the day came to an end, we were pretty tired. We had been to a few panels, and visited so many stalls, and bought almost everything, or so it seemed. I looked at Charlotte sympathetically as she sipped Coca Cola through her straw. "I know you're disappointed, you don't have to hide it."
