Charlotte was sitting on a bench in the square as she waited, listening to her iPod and nodding her head. As she scanned around for us, she turned her music off and lowered her sunglasses as her eyes landed on our interlocked fingers.

"So, you two are a thing?" She gasped, as she placed her glasses on top of her head and her iPod in her pocket.

Mark laughed and squeezed my hand. "Just because I said we were on Skype, that doesn't mean it wasn't true." He bent and kissed my cheek, and I blushed – I'm pretty sure Charlotte did too.

"So, where are we going first?" Charlotte asked as we began walking in a random direction.

I shrugged, feeling shy and giddy all at the same time as Mark stroked his thumb against my hand slowly and tenderly. "How about we wander until we find something we fancy?"

Mark and Charlotte both nodded at this, and I regretfully let go of Mark's hand, not wanting to third-wheel my friend.

After walking and talking, we stopped outside the cinema and pondered over a film. I looked at the show times outside the entrance and decided on one.

"What about Pixels?" Charlotte nodded and we both looked at Mark. "Very fitting." He winked at me and followed me in as I walked in front with Charlotte.

"This means we'll have to buy food and drinks though," Charlotte whispered to me and I giggled. "I try to avoid that if I can."

"Well, that's why Mark's here!" I smirked and looked at my boyfriend, who sighed on a smile. "I was joking!" I exclaimed as he got out his wallet.

He rolled his eyes at me playfully. "I'm getting money for my own tickets – don't jump to conclusions!" He laughed and pulled me close with one arm, kissing the top of my head.

"Would it be inappropriate to say that I wish that was me?" Charlotte teased and I shoved her shoulder, blushing as Mark shook his head and laughed.

"Do you girls want anything?" We both shook our heads, and made our way towards the screen after we'd bought our tickets. He sat in between us in the screen, his arms full of the food and drink he'd bought.

I shook my head as I stole a bit of his popcorn. "Wow, you really splashed out, didn't you? And I wanted to sit next to Charlotte, not this big teddy bear." He gave me a goofy smile and fed me some popcorn.

Charlotte mimed being sick and stole some popcorn. "Ew, do you guys mind? I don't want to vomit during the film." She giggled as I threw some popcorn at her.

"Ladies, ladies! I know I'm handsome but there's no need to fight over me!" He bit his lip mischievously and I threw my handful of popcorn at him, as did Charlotte.

"Well, it's safe to say that you don't differ from your internet persona." He smiled proudly and hugged Charlotte with one arm.

"I like this one, she's nice to me," He moved his popcorn and gave her a proper hug, closing his eyes tightly and smiling. "Not like you!" He stuck his tongue out at me and I crossed my arms and pouted as he let go of Charlotte.

"Oh dear, I don't want to intrude on a domestic; I'm going to the loo!" Charlotte said and got up, dodging a few people who had sat down.

After a few minutes of silence and me leaning into Mark's shoulder, he spoke up, not looking at me but at the screen. "Do you think her leaving was my cue to do this?" He turned slowly and kissed me as deeply as he dared in public view, his hand stroking my cheek until he pulled away and I ruffled his hair.

I shrugged, trying to conceal my grin. "Maybe." Isnuggled into the crook of his neck again as he placed his arm around me.Charlotte returned just before the film started, probably allowing us somespace before she returned. Mark had removed his arm from my shoulder and we satwatching the movie in a comfortable silence, stuffing our faces with popcorn.
