As the final challenge, the boat race, begins, the tension in the air is palpable. The task is straightforward-each challenger must race to retrieve a flag placed on a buoy in the middle of the water and return to the shore as fast as possible. The challengers line up in their boats, ready to begin. Jungkook and Jin share one last brief glance, a silent understanding passing between them. Despite the competition, their bond is stronger than ever.
The signal is given, and the boats shoot forward, cutting through the water. Jin, always precise, quickly takes the lead, his boat slicing through the waves with ease. Jungkook, on the other hand, is struggling. His boat lurches forward unevenly, and his movements are erratic. The exhaustion from the earlier challenges is evident in the way his muscles ache, he's been struggling because of the pain in his lower region, he's damn sore!
He's been trying hard to walk naturally, straightening his posture and keeping himself balance-As Jin watched him the older guy was feeling regretful for loosing his control on having the younger exhausted last night. They hadn't even had enough sleep as the production teams calls out at four in the morning.
Jin's stamina have always been great and Jungkook's did as well but the younger's body wasn't ready for Jin for the man's stamina and for the man's huge size-
and despite his best efforts, he's falling behind. As Jin nears the buoy, his eyes scan the water, and his heart skips a beat when he spots Jungkook's boat wobbling dangerously. His heart clenches as he sees Jungkook desperately trying to regain control, but it's clear that the younger challenger's strength is failing him. Without thinking, Jin pulls his boat in the opposite direction, turning sharply to head toward Jungkook.
The other challengers are still focused on the race, trying to reach the flag, but Jin's focus is entirely on the one person who needs him most.
Jungkook's boat begins to sink-water slowly seeping in from the side, dragging him under. He struggles against the current, his muscles screaming in protest, but his body feels too heavy, too tired.
"Jungkook!" Jin calls out as he nears him, jumping out of his boat without hesitation. The cold water splashes against his skin, but he doesn't care. All that matters is reaching Jungkook. He dives into the water, swimming over to the younger man, who is now thrashing helplessly.
"Hold on!" Jin yells, gripping Jungkook's arm with surprising strength. He pulls Jungkook toward his boat, his own muscles already sore from the day's earlier challenges. But he ignores the fatigue. He ignores the cramps that have begun to seize his legs. All that matters is getting Jungkook back to safety.
Jungkook coughs, gasping for air, too exhausted to even respond. His head hangs low as Jin helps him into the boat, supporting him as they both sit in the small vessel. They're both shaken, their movements slow and sluggish from the intense exhaustion that has been building up throughout the competition.
Jin, despite his own pain, works quickly to stabilize the boat. He knows that they need to return to the shore, that the game isn't over yet. But as his legs start to cramp up violently, his vision blurs slightly. His breath comes in shallow gasps. He's running on sheer willpower now, pushing through the pain to make sure Jungkook is okay.
"Jungkook, we're going to make it," Jin mutters through clenched teeth, his voice hoarse.
Jungkook nods weakly, his eyes barely open as he slumps against the side of the boat. He's too tired to do anything but hold on and trust Jin.
With every ounce of strength he has left, Jin paddles their boat back toward the shore, fighting the water that seems to want to pull them back into its depths. His legs are cramping terribly, but he grits his teeth and pushes through the pain, knowing that he can't afford to fail now.
As they near the shore, Jin's vision starts to fade, and the pain in his legs intensifies. The sound of the waves crashing against the sand is almost deafening in his ears, but he keeps his focus, his determination pushing him forward.
Finally, after what feels like an eternity, Jin and Jungkook's boat hits the sand. Jin lets out a shuddering breath of relief, but his body feels like it's going to give out at any second. His legs buckle under him as he tries to step out of the boat, but he's caught by Yoongi, who has arrived just in time to see the two challengers struggle onto the beach.
Yoongi looks at Jin with a mix of surprise and concern, but there's no time to speak. He has his own flag to retrieve and a race to finish. Yoongi takes a quick glance at Jin and Jungkook before running off to complete his task, determined to claim victory.
Jin's body feels like it's been through a battle, his legs are sore, and his heart is still pounding. But when he looks at Jungkook, lying back in the boat, exhausted but safe, it all feels worth it. He may not have won the race, but he's not concerned with that anymore. He's made sure that Jungkook is okay, and that's all that matters.
With Yoongi securing the flag and reaching the finish line first, the host announces him as the winner of the challenge, but the real victory-at least for Jin-is the moment he shared with Jungkook. Despite the competition, despite everything that's happened on the island, he's come through for him.
Jin smiles weakly, leaning back against the boat. For the first time in a long while, the pain in his legs seems distant. What matters now is the quiet bond he's built with Jungkook..
Yoongi and Hoseok run towards them with the staffs, and medics crew to attend the the two players.. Jin knows he already made it safe for the younger, as he closed his eyes slowly.. his sight fills with the medics crew carrying Jungkook on the stretcher..
