A week had passed since the competition, since the night on Jeju Island that had shifted everything. Jungkook had tried to push it all to the back of his mind-the nights, specially the last one they shared, the words and promises, the undeniable connection between them. He had been busy, keeping himself occupied with work, rehearsals, and the whirlwind that came after being crowned the sole survivor of Survivor: Jeju. But no matter how hard he tried, he couldn't shake the memory of Jin's touch, the warmth of his smile, the way his presence had settled deep into Jungkook's chest.
Now, here he was, standing in front of Jin's apartment door, feeling that same flutter in his chest.
The events of the past week had been a blur. Jin was so consumed-media appearances, interviews, constant demands on his time. But amidst all of it, there had been one constant thought: Jungkook
While Jungkook had thought about him every day. He'd replayed the way Jin's eyes had locked with his during that quiet, intimate moment in the luxury suite. He thought about the kiss they had shared, slow and soft, full of everything they'd both been holding back. It wasn't just a kiss; or that passionate night they shared, but it was a promise, a supposedly new beginning. But most of all after that night, they hadn't had a chance to talk properly, not in the way Jungkook wanted.
And so, here he was, outside Jin's door, unsure of what he was doing, but certain that he couldn't wait any longer. His fingers hovered over the doorbell for a second before he pressed it, heart pounding.
The door swung open, and there Jin stood. He looked the same, yet different. There was a quiet strength in his eyes, a softness to his expression that made Jungkook's heart race. He was dressed casually in a simple shirt and jeans, his hair a little tousled, but there was something about him that made Jungkook feel like he was stepping into a dream.
"Baby?" -
Baby-
That word alone already send electric volts all over his bodyJin greeted, his voice warm, the way it always was, but with an added tenderness that made the air between them feel charged. He stepped aside, opening the door wider.
"Come in."Jungkook hesitated for just a moment before stepping inside, his heart pounding in his chest. The apartment was just as he remembered-comfortable, lived-in, familiar. But this time, everything felt different. It felt like there was something more between them, something that neither of them had fully acknowledged until now.
Jin closed the door behind him, his gaze lingering on Jungkook for a moment before he spoke again.
"You came," he said quietly, his voice almost a whisper. "I've been thinking about you."Jungkook's breath caught in his throat. The words were simple, but they held so much weight, so much meaning. He turned to face Jin, the space between them small but full of unspoken feelings.
"I've been thinking about you too, hyung," Jungkook replied, his voice steady despite the rapid beat of his heart. He took a step closer to Jin, his eyes never leaving the older man's face. "I couldn't stop thinking about that night... about us. I'm hoping -At least you called"
Jin's gaze softened, his lips parting slightly as he took a step toward Jungkook as well. "I couldn't either," he admitted, his voice low. "It's been hard to ignore... everything that's changed between us. I thought you already forget everything"
There was a pause, the weight of their words hanging in the air. Jungkook could feel the pull between them, magnetic and undeniable. This was the moment-there was no going back now.
"You know I can't do that. Even if I want to. I don't want to ignore it anymore," Jungkook said, his voice a little rough, like he was admitting something he'd been afraid to say out loud. "I don't want to pretend like everything's normal when I know... when I know it's not."
Jin took a step forward, closing the distance between them. His hand reached out, fingers brushing against Jungkook's, sending a surge of warmth through his body. The touch was gentle, yet it carried the weight of everything they'd both been holding back.
"Neither do I," Jin whispered, his voice full of sincerity.
Jungkook's heart thudded in his chest as he looked into Jin's eyes, feeling something real and raw between them. He could feel the electricity in the air, the anticipation building with every passing second.
Without another word, Jungkook reached up, his hand cupping the side of Jin's face, much like he had on Jeju Island. The moment was familiar, yet entirely different. This time, there were no distractions, no cameras, no competition. Just them.
Jin leaned into his touch, his eyes fluttering closed for a moment before opening again, looking directly at Jungkook. And then, with no hesitation, Jin's lips met his.
"I've been longing for this..."
It was a kiss that was everything they had been waiting for-a kiss that was full of longing, of everything they had felt in the silence between them. It was slow, soft, but deep, like they were both savoring the moment they'd almost missed. When they finally pulled back, both of them were breathing heavily, their foreheads resting against each other. The world outside seemed to fade away, and in this moment, nothing mattered except the two of them.
Jin smiled softly, brushing his thumb over Jungkook's cheek. "I've wanted this for so long," he admitted, his voice filled with quiet honesty.
Jungkook smiled, a warmth flooding his chest. "Me too," he replied, his voice shaky but sincere. "I didn't know how to say it, but... I want to keep you hyung"
"Then keep me. Forever"
Jin's smile grew, and without another word, he pulled Jungkook into a tight embrace. It felt like everything was finally falling into place. There were no more doubts, no more questions. There was only this-their connection, their feelings, and the promise of something real between them."I will. I love you hyung! I love you so much!"
"You know the answer to that Jungkook""I wanna hear..please hyung-"
"I'm inlove with you baby. I love you more than you do!"
As they stood there, wrapped in each other's arms, Jungkook couldn't help but feel that, for the first time in a long while, everything was exactly where it was meant to be.
End.💜
