As the night grew colder, Jungkook felt a chill creeping through his body. He glanced around the camp, searching for warmth, and his eyes landed on Seokjin sitting near the fire, wrapped in his blanket. With a slight hesitation, Jungkook approached him, holding out his own blanket.

"Here," Jungkook said, offering the blanket with a small smile. "I’m feeling a bit cold. Do you mind if I sit here?"

Seokjin looked up at him, his eyes softening as he noticed the genuine gesture. "Of course, Jungkook," he replied, moving slightly to make room.

Jungkook settled down next to Seokjin, the warmth from the fire only partially warding off the night’s chill. As he sat beside him, Jungkook, almost instinctively, shifted his leg, gently brushing it against Seokjin's. He glanced sideways at Seokjin, waiting for a reaction. But Seokjin didn’t pull away. Instead, he seemed to lean slightly toward him, a subtle smile curling on his lips. Jungkook couldn’t help but feel a rush of warmth, though it wasn’t just from the fire. There was something about the closeness, the shared quiet moment, that made his heart beat a little faster.

"Thanks for picking me for your team," Jungkook said, breaking the silence. His voice was soft, but there was a sincerity in it that made Seokjin glance at him.

Seokjin turned to face him fully, his expression thoughtful. "You’ve earned your place, Jungkook. But, hey—how about tomorrow morning? I’m going into the forest to gather some fruits and vegetables. Want to come with me?"

Jungkook’s heart leaped at the invitation. "Of course! I’d love to." He couldn’t hide the excitement in his voice. This was the moment he had been hoping for: a chance to be alone with Seokjin, away from the rest of the group.

The next morning, long before the others stirred, Jungkook woke up early, his mind racing with anticipation. He quickly gathered his things, making sure to keep quiet as he slipped out of the camp. The sky was still dark, the forest bathed in the soft glow of early morning light. Jungkook’s steps were light and eager as he made his way to the edge of the camp.

He didn’t have to wait long. Soon enough, Seokjin appeared from the shadows, carrying a small basket for gathering.

"I didn’t wake you, did I?" Jungkook asked, a bit breathless from his excitement.

Seokjin smiled warmly, shaking his head. "I’m an early riser. Ready to get started?"

Jungkook nodded eagerly, his heart thumping in his chest. This was it. The two of them, alone in the quiet forest, with nothing but the sound of the trees and their footsteps. The world outside of this moment seemed to fade away, and Jungkook couldn’t help but feel that, for once, everything was falling into place.
As they walked deeper into the forest, the morning air was crisp and fresh, the scent of pine and damp earth filling their lungs. The early light filtered through the trees, casting long shadows on the forest floor, and every step seemed to bring them further into a world of their own. Jungkook couldn’t help but steal glances at Seokjin, who walked beside him with a calm, measured pace. His presence seemed to make the forest feel even more tranquil, his movements effortless and graceful.
