And there it is, Taking A Chance On Love is complete! Thank you so much for reading this far and being so patient with me through the process.

I also hope you'll allow me a few words to express my emotions as I look back on the writing process.

This was my biggest attempt at storytelling yet. Even though it's practically a novella since it's not even 40K words, it is a large step up from my usual one shots and short stories. I really struggled with writing it because I had never done world building to this extent. I still believe this story is imperfect, but after leaving it for 2 years and worrying constantly about it, I wanted to press on and finish what I started, even if it meant publishing an imperfect story.

I really didn't want to turn this into a short story like I did with Jamais Vu (although that one turned out better than my original idea). I wanted to actually try my hand at longer works, and I have to say I'm surprised how well it turned out!

I want to say a quick thank you to a few people, so please bear with me.

I'll start with Chatayer, my dear friend and the one who read my book even after I had nearly given up on it. Thank you for reading it, seeing the potential of what it could be when I was too discouraged to continue, and for urging me to continue it. You are the catalyst that got me writing again, and for that I'm eternally grateful. You have always been patient when I had writer's block, always offered your advice whenever I needed it, and your comments on my stories always make my day. Thank you.

Thank you also 4everSherlocked and shinhaari. You two have been constantly encouraging and inspiring me, even hyping me up whenever I excitedly posted a paragraph I was proud of in chat. Sherly, whenever I started feeling sluggish, I would see you talking about your stories and it would motivate me tremendously to update. And Haari, your descriptions always made me fall in love with writing again and remember why I love doing it. Even though I checked out both of your profiles because we were competing in the same awards, I fell in love with your writing styles and became friends with you both. Thank you.

Thank you estellaxcielo for your amazing cover for this story! Sometimes I looked at the cover to get extra motivation to write because I wanted to make a story deserving of the work you put into the beautiful cover. Without you, the cover would have been a basic photo with non-existent editing and a terrible font because I had absolutely no idea what to do with the cover. If I hadn't seen you talking about cover design once, I never would've known that the cover could look so good. You're a great designer and friend. Thank you.

Thank you also Ravendipity for creating a space for readers and writers to chat. It was like my world saw color again when I saw all these writers and readers talking enthusiastically about their works or favorite stories and authors. Thank you also for hosting the awards that helped me find so many new friends, and for hyping me up even when I'm just joking about myself. How you manage to be such a ray of sunshine despite your monumental schedule is still baffling, but it motivates me to also be a better version of myself. You'll always be my favorite Red-eared Energizer Bunny. Thank you.

Last but certainly not least, thank you to everyone who read and will later read my story long after I mark it complete (no pun intended). You guys are what keep me going, and I'm so grateful for each of you. Knowing there are people out there who genuinely like and read my stories absolutely makes my day. Thank you for taking a chance on my story, and for taking a chance on me (wow I'm full of accidental puns today). Thank you.
