The dissimulated sun, rose over a deceitful morning, feigning optimism. Whilst hushing the events of last night, like a toxic mother, covering the mouth of her child who dares to testify against her.Juri watched the esoteric enigma stretch. His wide back and broad shoulders, suddenly filled the horizon. Any other person. Any other soul would seek refuge from the one possessed by power.
But not Juri...
No.
She felt compelled to cling to him, no matter the cost. Like a moth to the flame... The laws of logic need not apply to her. For her actions were governed by something she could not see. By something... she could unknowingly hear.
By something...
She believed to be gone, forever...
"(Groan!) Well, I'm off. I've got a demon to hunt. See ya!" The Tamer of Flames announced, as he finished stretching.
"Jinto wait!" Juri abruptly blurted. Her hands were balled up to her chest. With her cerulean eyes, she gazed up at him invitingly.
"Yeah, what's up?" he said warmly.
Juri stared at him momentarily. Ugh, just look at him. That scary aura of his from last night is completely gone and his voice is confidently kind again. He's back to being a zealous puppy. I don't know why, but the more time I spend with him, the more it feels like I've known him somehow. But I'm certain I've never met him...
"You and I... aren't so different," she guilefully whispered...
"Sorry, you're speaking too quietly. What did you say?" Jinto chuckled, before leaning closer.
Just like that, the perfidious princess had entrapped the coveted firefly in her web of seduction.
The Melanin man's eyes were all but bewitched. Her saccharine aroma surrounded him, pulling him in licentiously. Invading his mind, body and soul. Her fluttering, flaxen locks glistened. And her oceanic skin gave off a luminous hue of beauty.
"I said... you and I.. aren't so different," the provocative princess said suggestively, as she stroked his muscular arm.
The mountain of stoicism began to crumble, as Jinto's expression of disinterest, began to dissolve. "Oh...? How so?" he replied. His tone, deep and rumbling.
Juri began to slowly strut around him, "You and I are... both hiding something. A secret version of ourselves... A piece of us, that we don't want anyone to see," she uttered, before coming full circle and stopping in front of him.
"So you admit that the phantom in the reflection is connected to you?" Jinto claimed.
The perfidious princess, gently pressed her palm against his chest, before leaning into him completely. "I do... please, find it in your heart to forgive me. I'm not entirely sure what she is, but she is connected to me. Apart of me. A dark manifestation that has taken root within me. Just like the cold, callous entity of power that dwells deep within you too."
"So you were awake after all... It's true, there's something more to me that most are unaware of. It's as if I become possessed by power itself," Jinto affirmed.
Juri slowly looked up at him, with her big, alluring eyes. "You see, that's why we have to stick together. You and I... we were meant to meet, I can feel it. Two troubled souls. Plagued by a darkness. No one could truly understand us. No one could truly know what we go through. What it feels like to battle against your own self. Denying your true nature, for the betterment of the people... but when you and I are together... we can be ourselves.." she provocatively proposed, as her pursed lips slowly ascended towards his.
Jinto jerked backwards, avoiding her kiss.
The perplexed princess gawked at him.
Whilst the Melanin man had a vacant look in his eyes.
Though Juri wielded a deadly seduction, she was unaware...
Unaware of the one thing that passively protected Jinto from such machinations of the opposite sex.
Verily, at the best... and worst of times, his mind is like a leaf, wildly drifting in the wind, shuttled off to any destination that his imagination takes him.
Meanwhile in Jinto's Mind
So, you're the fabled demon I've been hearing so much about. Even your demonic might, will shudder before my furious fire! HYAAA!
Heh, not bad demon. Guess I'll have to get serious. Aaaadya! Gah! I don't have a choice. I'll have to showcase my new move! I was saving this one for a certain half-pint, but I'll have to use it on you first!
BLACK EXCELLENCE! Hmph... The Tamer of Flames reigns supreme once more. Too bad for you Jaleel, I was the first one to ever defeat a demon between us. Bwahahahahaaaa!
Back To Reality
"Umm, hello!?" Juri huffed.
"Huh? Oh, right! Something about sticking together... Well, I've got a demon to hunt! See ya!" Jinto beamed, leaving in a flash!
Juri rolled her eyes as she plopped down on the bed, crossing her legs over one another. A dissatisfied, scoffing sigh echoed. Followed by an enthralled smile. Rejection? Pfft how dare he. When a princess offers you something as high as a royal kiss, you just HAVE to accept... well, if you did, that'd be boring now, wouldn't it, Jinto? The royal thought to herself, as she rested her head on her hand and her leg fritted up and down in excitement...
