"Hey Susan, check this out!" I screamed for my best friend who was just a couple of yards away. I found some sort of blue stone laying among a pile of pebbles.
"What'd you find"
"Doesn't it match Alex's eyes?"
"Aww, when do you think he's asking you out?"
I looked into the clear sky smelling that beautiful beach scent that the sea gives off, "Dunno, soon maybe"
Susan chuckled, "C'mon dreamy girl, let's get home before its dark."
Susan slept over with me on the Saturday night, you know a typical sleepover, where we watch movies and eat pizza. Monday came and I held the blue stone in my hand waiting for Alex to come, he always gets here late.
"Alex!" I yelled. He looked over and smiled, "I got you something," he headed towards me dodging a massive crowd in the corridor.
"Hey Michelle, what do you have?"
"I was on the beach on Saturday and I found this stone," I showed it to him, "it matches your eyes"
He blushed so hard I didn't even see his pale face anymore. "Aww, thanks and you know what's funny?"
"What?"
"I found the same stone on my front porch, and it's white, just like your eyes."
I didn't even know what to say, it was probably a coincidence... or not... doesn't matter it's cute.
"Wow look at that!"
"Listen, gotta go to class I have a test to write talk later?"
I was still blushing, "Yeah see you," and let me tell you this, our hugs never felt the same again.
