I'm going to miss my dad, he's going to some undiscovered island in the Pacific Ocean to search for some artefacts because you know, he's an archeologist. A whole 2 months have passed and my dad arrived straight after the day I was told about my element thing. "Hey son, I have something for you!"
"Dad I have news!"
We both stood in silence until the roaring wind broke it.
"What did you get me dad?"
"I found a green stone in my trip and I'd like you to have it." I took it and saw it was the same stone water-boy had except this is dark green
"Dad, oh my gosh!"
"What is it?"
"This matches my eyes right?"
"Yeeees... why?"
"Mr. Kingsley said I have an element that I can control"
"What would that be?"
"Earth dad!" My dad didn't really look impressed, "you don't seem surprised..."
"Are you sure he told you the truth?"
"With the stone I can prove it."
"Son, please don't lie to me," he said it in a way which made him seem tired. I tried to move the rock decoration in my backyard but it wouldn't budge.
"I thought as much," my dad look disappointed, "keep dreaming James."
I stood in silence as I watched my dad walk away from me. I feel like I just want to kill myself right now, but I'm not giving up just yet...
