Arranged Hate

Chapter 5

I stayed in my room until after lunch. My mother and siblings tried to speak to me through the door but I told them to go away. I decided to face him and tell him straight that I will not be his bride. I looked out my door and saw no one is there. I closed the door and locked it behind me. I sneaked past my siblings rooms and Austin's room to reach there. I was just about to knock when I saw the door opened a bit. Voices came out the room. I looked through the tiny opening and saw my father and Riker in a heated argument.

"I wanted you to rape her you idiot. So you can blackmail her into marring you" my father said.

"Well you try to rape a girl when she runs away from you" Riker said.

"I said I'll pay you enough money to buy a brand new ship and to have a bride at your side. I want that brat out this house and away from Lucie. She's influencing my daughter" my father said.

My eyes started tearing up.

"How do you know that if I rape you, I can blackmail her?" Riker asked.

"Because I did the same thing to her mother. I needed that money to become the Governor" my father said.

Now the tears are trailing down my cheek. My mother said she was forced but she never mentioned this.

"Fine. How about I rape her know and get it over and done with" Riker said.

"Do it whenever as long as its done" my father said.

Her turned around and walked towards the door. I ran and hid behind a tall and wide pot plant. He past me and a few minutes after that Riker walked out in the direction of my room. I ran to my mothers room but she wasn't there. I can't go to my siblings because he might be there. Luckily the locked door will give me some time. I ran to the only place he wouldn't find me but Lucie can. To our spot. I hid in one of those bushes around there and cried my heart out. I hate this. I hate this. I want to leave and never come back but I don't know where to go. Where to hide.

"Tracy! Are you there? Annmarie told us what they were planning. Tracy!" Kevin called.

I looked through the leaves and saw Kevin only. No one else. I crawled out the bush and ran into his waiting arms. I burst out crying in his arms.

"Kevin. I'm scared" I said.

"Did he do it yet? Annmarie ran to us in fear that it was too late. Did he?" He asked.

"No but he was close twice. I heard him and father speak. I don't want to get married to him" I said.

"Its ok. We won't. We told your mother and she planned to get you off the island to somewhere far away from her. We must just wait here. They are getting everything ready" he said.

I cried until I was fresh out of tears. My mother, Lucie, Tony and Malcolm ran towards us with a bag and horse.

"He never did it yet but he got close twice" Kevin said.

I ran into my mother and she hugged me.

"Why didn't you tell me?" I asked her.

"He threatened to kill you, my only child, and I didn't want you to have that fate. You were, are too young" she explained.

"Now let's get you ready" she said.

Lucie is holding a pair of jeans, a shirt, a jacket, shoes and a cowboy hat. I quickly changed into it behind a tree. I gave them the clothes I was wearing before. Kevin and Tony helped me onto the horse.

"Go to the Harbor and find the boat by the name of Sapphire. The captain will take you to Petal island where you use the money in your bag to buy somewhere to stay and food. Just show him the letter in your bag. There's spare clothes in the bag attached to the saddle. Please stay safe. Oh and when you are by the gates tell the guards that your name is Freya Jones, a servant, needing to go for a family emergency" my mother said.
