Chapter 12

After that job hunting fail I decided that I wasn't just going to go back home and wait for another. We walked back into town and we looked at all the stores for something. We passed coffee, clothing, grocery, art shops and a library.

"This is taking too long" Naomi moaned.

"Naomi, stop your complaining" Tasha said.

"What about that shop? It has a help wanted sign" Harry said pointing to a music store.

"Let go check it out" I said.

We quickly walked across the road and stood by the window of the music store. The sign said:

HELP WANTED

a library monitor needed.

"Well then come on! Let's go get you a job" Naomi shouted excitedly.

We walked into the store and Tasha went up to the counter with Hector. I checked out their store.

"Tracy this is Sam. Sam this is Tracy" Tasha introduced.

Sam looked like a typical nerd but he looked cute. Blonde hair, glasses and brown eyes. He is wearing a white shirt and blue jeans with a name badge pinned to his shirt. His mouth dropped to the floor went he saw me. I offered him a hand and he shook it but I can feel he's nervous in my presence. He kept his eyes on me the whole time in disbelieve. I guess he's a fan.

"Hi. Take a picture it takes longer" I said.

He snapped out of it and forced out a nervous chuckle. I smiled at him and I could see he is starting to relax.

"So you want the job?" He asked.

"Yeah" I said.

"Well then you'll have to be able to help out anyone who asks for a book and also sort out the selves and put books away" he said.

I heard glasses clink and saw a little cafe a few meters away.

"That our cafe where people can read the books and have something to drink and eat. You can help out sometimes" Sam said seeing my curiosity.

"Sweet. So when do I start?" I asked.

"Anytime. You can start today if you aren't busy" he said.

"I want to see how it works around here so yes I'll help" I turned to Harry and them, "You don't need to stay. Sorry that sounded mean".

"It's ok. We'll just go home. Have a fun time" Tasha said.

"Thanks and thank you for helping" I said.

"My pleasure" she replied and started walking to the door.

Harry kissed me on the lips and I felt like the world slid away from me. I felt him smile against my lips. He stopped and I blushed realizing that we just kissed in public. He smirked then whispered in my ear.

"See you tonight"

I smiled at him as he followed his family out. I turned to Sam and he just stood there uncomfortably.

"Sorry about that" I said still blushing.

"It's ok. Let's start" he replied.

He went to the window and took the sign off then went to the counter. He went behind the counter and got me a name badge with just Library monitor on it. No name.

"Sorry. You have to wait a bit before you get a badge with your name on but you can borrow this one for now" he said.

"Sure. Thank you" I replied pinning it onto my blue dress.
