Clarkes' pov

After we got to the tent of the commander, she continued to ask me questions and I told her everything I knew about the ark, the council and what is happening up there.

„Will others of your people come down?" She asks still with her stoic expression. Her eyes have the same deep green I saw through the window of the capsule.

„I don't know for sure but I think they will eventually." I tried to keep my face neutral but the fear I keep feeling in her presence has to be visible. „Why are you scared?"

„I'm not." She raises her brow.

„You could kill me any second. And if you don't do it others might will. From what I've heard queen Nia even likes to kill." I move my eyes to the ground, unable to hold the intensity of her stare.

The commander scoffs and I look up. There seems to be hurt in her eyes and her expression goes from stoic to bitter and icy. As fast as the vulnerability appeared in her eyes, it is replaced by a new coldness that sends a shiver down my spine.

Her voice is hard when she speaks. „You have nothing to fear from me and I'll make sure you don't from the ice queen later."

„You can go now." She says a bit softer.

„Thank you. Goodbye, commander."

„Call me Lexa."

„Okay. Goodbye, Lexa." I smile at her and make my way out and to the healers tent.

Lexas' pov

Why by Becca did I tell her to call me by my name? I don't even know her. But she did look horrified of me and maybe if she knows my name she won't almost faint from fear when I talk to her again.

After all she is just a little girl who got ripped from her family and everything she has ever known.

I let out a sigh and get up. Maybe a training will help me getting my thoughts away from what Clarke said. From what I've heard queen Nia even likes to kill. Guess she does.

The snow beneath my feet crunches with every step as I make my way to one of the worrior of Azgeda. Since my warriors are still busy building up the camp I can't fight with them.

„Heya. Ste yu a good gona? (Hello. Are you a good warrior?)" I try not to sound too harsh but I'm not sure if I succeeded at that.

„Heda." He bowed his head. „Sha. Ai would biyo krei. (Yes. I would say so.)"

„Good. Den kom op en lev op kom ai. (Good. Then come and train with me.)" Without another word I turn and start walking to one of the many training grounds.

When I get there a crowd already build itself around us to watch their heda fight.

„Artis, you won't believe what happened." Wait. I know that voice. As soon as I turn my head I can see the blond hair and blue eyes. Clarke.

„Clarke, I can't right now. We will talk after, okay?" The man she is talking to is the guard I asked to train with me.

She looks at me then at him at back at me. Then all of a sudden her face lightens up and she walks over to the sideline to the rest of the crowd.

The guard, Artis, and I start to circle each other and just after a few short moments he makes the first move. Our swords clash together and as soon as they do I use his short lack of concentration on anything other than our two swords and kick up into his chest.

He stumbles a few steps back but catches himself quickly and dives under my left hook punching into my stomach with his fist. Before he can hit me again I ram the handle of my sword into his back. That knocks him to the floor and I walk a couple steps back to let him stand up.

Just as I'm about to launch at him again, another guard walks into the ring and tells me that the feast to celebrate my presence is ready.

With a nod at Artis, I re-sheath my sword and stride to the centre of the town which is a big marketplace.

Short chapter today. I know this wasn't the best either but it gets better soon. Also I think I will make a time jump in one of the next few chapters to where she's like 15 years old or something like that.
