Finally, the door opened. Mr Armstrong came to her sight, his expression changed
"You again, what do you want?"He asked, his voice is cold
"L-Let me prove myself, I can take care of Becky"
"We talked about this already, don't make me repeat myself"
Mr Armstrong gripped the door, wanting to close it again but Freen quickly hold onto it, desperately stopping him
"Mr Armstrong please! Maybe you are right...I didn't have the wealth, family or the life you want for her. But what I have is the love and the. determination to give her everything I can"
His jaw clenched, scoffing while Freen continued
"Becky is all I have...I will work hard to be better, to give her the life she deserves...all for her. Please, don't take her away from me"
He crossed his arms over his chest, his eyes are cold as the sight of the woman trembling in front of him
"And you think that makes you worthy of her? You are still nobody"He replied
The words stung inside her chest but Freen hold it
"I am...but I can be somebody for her and I will do it without a second thought"Freen muttered, her voice slightly chocking
"You think with your dramatic speech right now going to change my mind?"Mr Armstrong asked, furrowing his eyebrows
"No, but I'm willing to keep trying. I will come back everyday if I have to because Becky deserves a chance to be happy and I'm not going to stop fighting for her.."
He stared at her, Freen couldn't read his expression. The sounds of the thunder is getting louder by now, his jaw clenched as he looked away for a moment
