Qeta Miseria. She had been with the Baudelaires after a terrible fire took the lives of her parents and her brother. Even though the Miseria's fortune wasn't as great as the Baudelaire's, Count Olaf still wanted to get his hands on it, and adopted Qeta together with the three Baudelaire orphans.
However, the Baudelaires and Qeta soon noticed what the evil man was up to, and they managed to outwit him again and again.
In the Penultimate Peril, the Baudelaires started making decisions that one could consider as villainous, and they set Hotel Denouement on fire. The orphans left the hotel by using a floating ship, and as unfortunate as it was, Count Olaf was with them.
But Qeta didn't go with the Baudelaires this time. No, she wanted to find answers herself, and as she hurried down the stairs of the burning Hotel Denouement, she was going to experience a couple of denouements herself, meeting villains, volunteers and writers.
