Lena woke up with a sense of determination. She needed to feel like herself again, to reclaim the confidence and creativity that felt out of reach since the accident. Usually, that meant being behind the camera, capturing moments, but with her wrist still healing, that wasn't an option.
Scrolling through her contacts, she paused at Zoe's name. Billie's friend who is an incredible photographer, someone Lena admired. She hesitated for a moment, then texted:
"Hey, Zoe. I have a favor to ask... Can I hire you for a shoot? I just want to dress up, feel beautiful, and maybe remind myself of who I am."
Zoe responded almost immediately:
"Of course! Let's do it. I'll bring the studio to you if you're not up for going out."
A wave of relief washed over Lena. This was the first step.
Lena wanted to make the photoshoot an unforgettable experience, so she booked a luxurious Airbnb that had everything she needed: spacious rooms, natural light, and a dreamy aesthetic. When Billie offered to come along, Lena gently declined. "This is something I need to do for myself," she said with a determined smile.

Lena spent days meticulously planning the photoshoot. The Airbnb she booked was breathtaking—a modern, sunlit space with high ceilings, rustic wooden beams, and a touch of vintage charm. Every corner seemed like it was made for the camera. She brought a suitcase filled with outfits that reflected her personality: bold colors, dramatic silhouettes, and pieces with intricate details she'd always admired. When Zoe arrived, the energy shifted into full creative mode. "This place is insane," Zoe said, setting up her lighting equipment. "You really went all out."
Lena laughed. "If I'm going to do this, I'm going to do it right."
The first outfit was a yellow floral long sleeve that fit the vibe of the floral wall in the office of the Airbnb perfectly. Lena stepped into the natural light streaming through the large windows, and Zoe immediately started snapping away. "Chin up, eyes softer. Perfect!" Zoe encouraged. Lena moved gracefully, her confidence growing with every click of the camera.
Next was an edgier look: a black tuxedo blazer paired with black pumps and black sequin pants. Lena leaned against yellow velvet couch, giving Zoe a fierce, smoldering look. "You're killing it, Lena," Zoe said, adjusting the angle to capture the shadows and textures.
