Meeting in Paris

Part Thirty-Five

At eight o'clock in the evening, Wael Al-Bahtimi arrived with his father and mother at Madam Khadija's house.

They were received by Khaled, Salma's brother, as well as Madam Khadija, and they all sat in the hall. After welcoming them,
Wael Al-Bahtimi presented both his father and mother to Madam Khadija...

Wael Al-Bahtimi: I present to you my father, Major General Ibrahim Al-Bahtimi, who is currently retired, and I also present to you my mother, Dr. Etidal Al-Shorbaji, a medical analysis doctor.

Khadija: Hello and welcome, we are honored to meet you....

Then Wael Al-Bahtimi spoke again and introduced both Madam Khadija and her son Khaled to his father and mother....

Wael Al-Bahtimi: This is Madam Khadija, a driving manager at Lovely Export and Import Company, and of course she is Salma’s mother, and this is her son, Officer Khaled...

Wael’s mother and father: Welcome, we are very happy because we will be one family, God willing.

Wael’s mother: Where is the bride, our daughter Salma?

Khadija: Laughing, you know that it takes time for the bride to be ready to receive you.

Not much time passed until Salma entered upon them in The most beautiful  bosom, and when Wael’s mother saw her, she was very happy.

Wael’s mother rose and took Salma in her arms and kissed her on the cheeks. She also greeted Wael’s father, welcoming him, and she also greeted Wael with her hand. However, Wael’s mother insisted that the bride sit next to her.

Salma got up and brought coffee and distributed it to them, and Wael’s father, Major General Ibrahim Al-Bahtimi, began the conversation.....

Ibrahim Al-Bahtimi: We are pleased and honored, Madam Khadija, to ask for the hand of your daughter,  Salma, to our son Wael.

Khadija: With great pleasure, Major General, we will be very happy with this marriage.

The talk began about the special preparations for the newlyweds and they agreed on everything.

Wael brought the diamond engagement ring, and Wael put the ring on the ring finger of Salma right  hand, and after that everyone rose to the table that had been prepared specifically for this happy occasion.

After they finished eating, they sat together for a short time, then Major General Ibrahim Al-Bahtimi and his wife, Mr. Etidal Al-Shorbaji, asked permission to leave. Then after them, Wael and his fiancée, Salma, went out for an evening in order to celebrate the engagement in a public place outside, and that was, of course, after I gave them permission ، Madam Khadija to go out.

Silence prevailed for a long period after Dr. Nadia heard the last sentence that Samir Khairat said, which was: If Nadia did not put pressure on her son Youssef to end this problem completely, and if Samir Khairat did not demand the money that he took as a result of the commercial operations that he carried out on his behalf, which were...

Through the company, Albert Camus will come to Cairo to confront Dr. Nadia about the relationship they had in Paris.

Nadia began to gather her strength and nerves with great difficulty, and she also felt severe pain in her chest, and with all this, she began talking again with Samir Khairat.......

Nadia: She denounced Samir Khairat’s words, saying, “Who is this Albert Camus that Samir Khairat is talking about?

Samir Khairat: He knows that he put pressure on me and continued to put more pressure on me. Dr. Nadia, do not deny that you were in a relationship with Albert Camus, and that this relationship crossed all red lines.
