Michael's POV
Standing outside the more permanent room Calum and I had been moved to, I tap my foot while waiting for Calum. We're both getting discharged today and I told him to meet me outside our room before we go.
They made us stay here for a total of three days to make sure we were stable enough to go home and continue recovering there. I'm supposed to be able to get back to my 'strenuous activities' in about 3 months which really sucks. I don't know if I can go that long without an adrenaline rush. Maybe I'll have to challenge the boys to a hot chili pepper eating challenge or something.
Seeing as Calum was taking forever, I take out my phone and begin texting Harry. We had talked all throughout the ride to the hospital and after I had been admitted he actually came and visited me a few times. He's a pretty cool guy, so we exchanged numbers and he made me promise to talk to him at least once a day until I recovered. He's a giant care bear.
I hear a pair of footsteps heading towards me, so my gaze moves from my phone to the source of the noise. Calum and Dr. Bennett saunter up to me, she's explaining one last thing to Calum about his ribs before he leaves.
"So make sure if the bruising doesn't get any better in a week to come back and let us check again for any possibility of internal bleeding. I'm almost positive that you don't have any but who knows, if you hit them on something accidentally it may cause some later on."
"Thanks Mik. I really appreciate the kindness you've shown me." He thanks her, pulling her in for a quick hug.
Wait, since when are they buddies? I hate that bitch, and I even complained about her to Calum. So why is he here hugging her, especially right in front of me?
"Care to explain this situation or -"
"Hold that thought. I've got to pack up some things then we can head to the front desk." Calum says, brushing past me to get into the room.
An awkward silence fills the hallway as Dr. Bennett and I wait for Calum to gather his things. I sneak some glances at her, because what can I say she's really hot, but my main goal was just to not make any snippy comments towards her. What? She's good at comebacks.
It was sort of strange to think I was actually intimidated by her, I mean she can't be more than 5'2'', how can she be so daunting?
Maybe it's not that she's intimidating, it's that she's seemingly confident. Most girls who ever try and argue with me will back off after my first or second comeback. She's not like them. She keeps fighting and won't give up. It's pretty admirable to be honest.
From the time I got here to now, all we have done is argue. It started off with little rude comments towards one another, but it quickly escalated to some full blown battles. They weren't even the cute battles that I normally have with girls, no, these were brutal. Now every time I look at her my blood boils at the memories of some of the things she said to me.
In other words, I have acquired and extreme hatred for this chick.
I'm pulled out of my thoughts by her clearing her throat.
"Oh, uh sorry. What'd you say?" I ask, paying attention to her now.
"I asked how your arm felt today."
"Feels fine, don't know why you care." I scoff.
"Michael, believe it or not I do care, want to know why? Because I'm your doctor. Although I can't say I would if I weren't." She says, walking towards me slowly.
I back up, yet she still keeps coming towards me. Soon my back hits the wall and I'm trapped. She stops a few inches away from me, grabbing both sides of the unzipped jacket I was wearing. She looks up at me and that's when I notice something I hadn't before.
