Pictures and memories,
are so hard to let go,
but I know now,
this thick chapter needs to close.
I was so attached,
to each piece,
no matter how long ago,
it was given to me.
Now i've come to understand,
the excuses i've made,
was because I wasn't ready,
to let go.
After I shove this chapter close,
I pray and hope I heal myself,
moving forward.
A clean slate is what I need,
but to have that,
I need to let go of every piece.
To all my old lovers and anew,
I'm thankful for everything you've given to me,
it's true.
Lessons were learnt,
prices were paid,
but now it's time I bury it away.
