Chapter Eleven: Attack

Levi's POV:

As I rode through the forest, I began to see the castle. It barley stood above the trees, yet it looked ginormous.

Swoosh!

I looked to my left and saw a couple of figures fly past me.

"Damn!" I growled.

They had 3D maneuvering gear and had seen us coming.

Turning around, I yelled, "Go!"

My team quickly spread out and flew off of their horses and into the trees.

Erwin stayed by my side just like we had discussed before.

"Don't stop!" I called back, "No matter what."

Right as we reached the edge of the trees, two people dropped down on us.

I fell off my horse and quickly jumped up to see a girl swing her blade at me. I nearly dodged it and rolled to the side.

"Damn," I growled.

Further away, Erwin fought off the other one. He looked fine so I didn't worry about him.

Looking towards the girl, I grabbed my own swords and charged at her.

Our blades clashed only twice before I got her. I made a deep cut of the back of her leg causing her to sink to her knees. I took the hilt of my sword and knocked her on the head. She blacked out and fell to the ground.

I couldn't kill her. She was still a kid, probably just a few years older than Eren.

Looking around, I could see my team fighting all over the place.

The enemy, whoever they were, was trained. They fought almost as good as we did.

By the looks of things, they defiantly didn't want us getting inside.

They must be hiding Eren in the castle... he had to be in there, or else we wouldn't be getting attacked.

We're the damn military for heavens sake.

Running forward, I glanced at Erwin just as he struck down the man he was fighting. He started towards me but I stopped him.

"Stay here," I called, "I'm going in alone."

He nodded, then ran over to the fighting.

Ditching my 3D gear, I grabbed my swords and darted towards the castle doors.

I quickly looked behind me and made sure that no one was following.

Pulling on the ginormous handle, I cracked the door open a bit and slipped in. I closed it behind me and walked into the huge room.

I took a few steps forward then stopped.

The room was absolutely beautiful. It reminded me of a castle in a story that my mom had read to me when I was a child.

Not to mention, it looked spotlessly clean.

But now wasn't the time to marvel, I needed to find Eren.

"He must be here somewhere," I told myself.

Looking around, I decided to start in the hall towards the right.

I turned the corner to see a straight path that never seemed to end.

Eren could be anywhere is this place.

Coming across a door on the left, I slowly opened it and peeked inside. Not seeing anyone, I walked inside.

Tables and chairs were scattered all over the room. Up against some of the walls were luxurious couches with coffee tables in front of them. In the back I could see another door, presumably leading to the kitchen. This area looked just like our dining area back home, just way more big and luxurious.
