Kieran's POV:

It had been almost three months since we captured the boy.

Max suggested that we let his injuries heal before we started asking him questions. But what he didn't know, is that I intended to do much more than ask questions.

Only a fool would give up answers without a little bit of persuasion.

Trying to make Max happy, I let the boy heal all the way. Within a couple of weeks, his ankle and his head were all better.

Now it was time to do what I needed to do.

I woke up early and made my descent to the boy's room. I unlocked the door and made my way in.

He was sitting at the table reading one of hundreds of books that were in the mini library. He seemed to be deep into the story because he didn't even notice me come in.

I walked over and snatched the book out of his hands.

He jumped back and fell out of his chair.

"Ahh!" he yelled as he hit the floor.

I leaned against the table and gave a small chuckle. I picked up the book while he got up off the ground and picked up his chair.
He gave me a scowl then went over to his bed and sat down.

"What do you want?" he asked.

Ignoring his questioned, I said, "Ya know, this is one of my favorite books."

"I don't care," he replied, "Now what is it that you want? You didn't bring me food like you usually do, so what is it?"

"Watch yer tone," I threatened.

He gave me a scowl as I pushed off of the table.

I walked over to the bed and pushed the boy back. He let out a small gasp as he hit the bed. Before he could scurry away, I climbed on top of him and pinned his hands down.

"Why are you doing this all of the sudden?" he asked.

"Well," I replied, "Max said I should leave you alone while ya heal. So I did, and now yer all better."

I leaned down to kiss him but he turned his head to the side. That didn't stop me though. I kissed his cheek then moved to his neck.

He tried to knee me so I bit him. A small cry escaped his mouth as a drop of blood slid down his neck.

"Now," I said, "I'm gonna ask you some questions. Dependin on yer answer, you'll either be rewarded or punished. Ya understand boy?"

He turned to look at me. His face was full of anger.

"Stop calling me boy!" he yelled, "It's Eren!"

I smiled at him.

Eren, now I know your name.

"Ok," I said, "Eren, first question. What were you doing riding all the way out here?"

"Why should I tell you?" he asked.

"Look at this like a game," I replied, "ya wanna win, not loose. Win, and something good happens. Loose, and something bad happens."

I let go of his left hand and ran my fingers along his cheek.

He smacked my hand away and tried to wiggle out from underneath me.

"Nuh uh uh," I said softly.

I grabbed his wrist then pulled both hands above his head.

"Let me go!" he whined.

"No," I replied, "now answer the damn question."

"We were practicing for a supplies run!" he cried out.
