"Did you get my gift?" I asked Sienna as I grabbed my jacket, ready to leave the office.
"Yes," she snapped.
"Still mad at me, huh? I told you already, gattina, if you're disobedient or lie to me, there are always going to be consequences."
"Yeah.. But did you really have to turn that thing on during my meeting? Do you know how hard it was to try listen and concentrate on what the board of directors were saying while having a device inside you and then having to run out whilst trying not to make any sexual noises."
"And then to make it worse, one of the head doctors overheard me in the bathroom while on the phone to you. Now she keeps asking where I got it and what it's called. She keeps winking at me every time I see her now! I think people are starting to suspect something's going on between us."
I couldn't hold back a chuckle. "Is she hot?"
"Oh, fuck you, Luca. I'm hanging up."
"You hang up, and you know what'll happen," I said, my voice dipping into a low, warning growl.
"I don't care. I'm done. I'm hanging up!"
"Sienna! Don't—" The line cut off before I could finish.
I stared at my phone, grinning. Well, someone's definitely asking for a punishment.
As I make my way to the elevator, Stella calls out just as I'm about to step inside. I pause, turning to watch her jog up to me, slightly out of breath.
"I'm sorry, sir," she gasps.
"Stella, please," I say, giving her a firm look.
"Right, Luca. I meant to give you this earlier—it's an invite to the annual masquerade ball on Saturday."
That was two days from now. Every year, the masquerade ball was a staple for corporate businesses. It was a chance to mingle, secure new clients, and strike new deals. Why they chose a masquerade theme was beyond me, but it was a useful networking opportunity.
I take the envelope from her and nod. "Thank you, Stella."
She smiles and steps away as I turn back and step into the elevator. The doors close, and I rip open the invite, scanning the details.
It includes a plus-one.
I smirk. Perfect. This is the ideal chance to bring Sienna without raising any suspicion. With everyone masked, no one would know who she was.
I pull out my phone and shoot her a quick text:
Be ready in 30 minutes. I'm swinging by. We're going shopping. Then I message the owner of the boutique I have in mind.
Asking him clear it out for me.
His response comes immediately:
Of course, Master Luca. Whatever you need.I slide my phone back into my pocket, a satisfied grin on my face.
As I wait patiently in the car for Sienna to come down from her building, my attention is drawn to her friend approaching with some guy. They're walking toward the entrance, deep in an argument, their voices just loud enough to carry faintly to me.
Moments later, I see Sienna emerge from the building, her stride confident as always. She notices them, they plaster on a fake smile not arouse any suspicion they were arguing a second ago, she stops to chat with them. They talk for a minute before Sienna waves them off. As she walks away, I can't help but notice the way the guy watches her. His eyes trail after her like he's memorising every step she takes.
