Harry sighs, the morning came too early, especially when you've laid awake all night, maybe catching only a couple hours of sleep. He kept playing the scene with Kyle over and over again. Wondering if he should have told Malfoy why Kyle kept handing him his wand. Not that Malfoy would ever hurt him, but he needs to know. He knows he needs to know, but Malfoy's not dumb. He'll understand what Kyle expected him to do, and he can't do that to him. He can't watch the understanding race across his eyes, across his face until he shuts it down, until he pulls his Slytherin mask in place.

Malfoy has never done anything that would even hint to the abuse Kyle expected. What Kyle's mother has done in the past won't be repeated. Not by him and certainly not by Malfoy; and it's not something Harry even needs to intercede on. He has no doubt that Malfoy would never raise a hand or his wand to his kids. For as much bluster as Malfoy has, for as hard as he tries to hide behind his mask, he knows that his heart is as soft as his own. He might be able to tell Kyle that he loves him, but Malfoy shows him that he does.

He knows they got in a fight. Kyle told him as much, but that's all he said. Malfoy didn't answer his door when he knocked, he was either showering, asleep, or avoiding him. Maybe he didn't want to tell him what happened, maybe there's more to the story than 'Papa and I had a disagreement' that Kyle told him. Honestly, the communication is pathetic. Not that he has any room to throw stones.

"Fuck it." Harry rolls out of bed; he's going for a run. Maybe he'll stop by DuBois's office before breakfast and get that over with. Maybe he'll write Kyle a letter, letting him know... what? Maybe he'll wake up Malfoy, yeah, maybe he'll wake him up. They can go running together, after... yeah, after... he's waking up Malfoy, right after he brushes his teeth and gets dressed.

Harry cracks open Malfoy's door, peeking his head inside. He looks down at his watch, 4:15, it's early but... he slides in bed next to him. He looks so peaceful when he's sleeping. His pointy features softened in what little light there is in the room. The light reflects off his pale skin and his platinum hair. Angelic, he looks like...

"You're being creepy, Potter." Draco rolls over to glare at him.

"I can't help it. You're gorgeous." Harry smiles, "Sorry, I don't mean to be creepy. Are you tired?"

"Am I tired?" Draco looks at Harry's watch, "It's fifteen passed four, what do you think?"

"Yes?"

"Well done, Potter, gold star." Draco turns to lay on his back, pulling Harry against him, "Go to sleep." He yawns.

"Or..." Harry snuggles close, running a hand under Draco's sheets and across his stomach. His finger tracing the band of his pajamas.

Draco kisses him, letting out a breathy "Yes."

Harry doesn't need to be told twice; he knows exactly what he wants to do with that yes.

They get to the gym later than the rest of their year; they may have taken a bit longer to get up but he has no regrets. If he could start every morning like this one, he'd be the happiest man on Earth. The run and shower took longer too. Well, not the run, but they decided to shower in their dorms, not in the gym. Not their dorms, but Malfoy's dorm, so yeah, the shower took a little longer than normal. On the bright side, not that there wasn't already a very bright side to his morning, but he got to use all of Malfoy's fancy hair products and his hair is behaving.

DuBois wasn't in her office, that's fine, he doesn't enjoy seeing her but he wants to talk to her about Kyle. He needs to talk to McGonagall about leaving school to go to the ministry. After that newspaper article, there's no reason to hide their marriage. He'll file the paperwork, that should get Lucius off their backs if nothing else. Maybe he can do a quick jump to France to check on Kyle, he was in a horrible way when he left. At least him and Malfoy were able to... what? Hug it out? Is that a thing? Maybe, he'll go with yeah, it's a thing and they did that thing and it's good. It's a good thing. Everything is good today, except the lack of sleep and he still has no appetite but are those necessarily bad things? Maybe, but they're just normal things. Yeah, he's going to go with that being normal because if it's normal than he gets to have a good day. He wants a good day, a nice and happy Tuesday. He doesn't even have potions today, another plus; although he did have a... pleasant isn't the word, neither is nice, he'll go with an undescribed conversation with Snape last night. Yeah, it was definitely a conversation. Granted it was about what Kyle did to get suspended but he talked to him like an adult and that is a win.
