It's officially my birthday today and I have been planning a small party to celebrate with the team. It's been a week since nationals and I haven't really seen anyone, besides Poppy and Griff, because Iv'e been relaxing.
Poppy, my parents and I have been adding the last minute touches to the house as I am having a brunch in the garden.
"Okay, everything looks perfect." I say as I finish adding the candles to the table.
Poppy hands me a box with a big bow in the middle.
"What is this?" I ask her as I take the box in my hand.
"Stop asking questions and just open it." She says making me chuckle.
I open the box and its this beautiful gold chain with a tiny conch shell in the middle of it.
"Poppy this is beautiful. Thank you so much." I say admiring the necklace.
"Let me put it on you." She says and clasps it on me. I take a look in the mirror and it looks stunning. I give her a hug and express my gratitude again.
"Hey birthday girl." Bodhi says and we immediately greet her. The other team members start piling in and we all get drinks.
After joking around and taking cute photos, we make our way to the table outside and start eating the food my parents helped prepare.
